Hong Kong Network Upgrade

All devices in HKG8 have completed Layer 2 migration. However, due to our previous router RIB outage (2024-07-12 17:42:25 HKT - 17:44:05 HKT), emergency maintenance needs to be performed before our planning.

This maintenance is the part of our Hong Kong Network Upgrade Project, aiming to divide our different routing tables (VRF) into different border routers. It will help to reduce the current RIB resource uage on single border router design.

Planned Start Time: 2024.07.13 04:00 (UTC+8)
Planned End Time: 2024.07.13 07:00 (UTC+8)

During this period, our hong kong network may be interrupted for about 15 minutes. Some routes via Hong Kong metro will also be re-route to alternative paths.

Singapore Infrastructure Upgrade - Hypervisor

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Hypervisor (SGP1-SRV5) for a configuration upgrade starting on November 27, 2024, at 17:00 HKT. The expected duration of the maintenance is 1 hour.

During this period, the following service will be impacted:

1. Unlock Gateway Service will be temporarily unavailable.
2. Some customer VMs hosted on the affected hypervisor will experience temporary downtime.

Hong Kong Network Outage

Cisco hardware defects affect our access layer switches (Cisco N9K-C9336C-FX2).

We are trying to minimise the effect on our customers and purchase new hardware ASAP.

位于香港两台100G接入层交换机均受到这个问题影响，由于思科设备出厂缺陷导致内存质量不达标，从而出现无法纠正的错误导致设备重启。

在使用相同型号交换机的友商可以前往思科官网查询自己的批次是否受影响.

Replace fault DIMMs on switches (Mount and unmount from the rack is required)

采购的交换机内存已经送至香港并完成稳定性测试，运维人员已经在测试设备上练习了如何更换交换机内存。

目前在网的设备还在持续的产生内存错误告警，最严重的设备已经被隔离，但是剩下的设备不足以维持主网稳定性。我们需要一个紧急维护窗口来完成设备内存的更换。

计划开始时间: 2025年2月25日 19时15分
计划结束时间: 2025年2月25日 20时15分

我们深知在这种时间段进行网络维护对客户的影响程度，但为了未来网络的稳定性，提前将风险扼杀是我们认为目前最好的选择。

完成交换机内存更换需要将设备下架再进行上架，且进行重新布线，我们将以最快的速度完成操作，但是网络的整体中断不可避免，我们非常感谢一直以来对我们支持的客户，并计划在下个月对产品线路进行升级。

近期亚太地区部分海缆出现较多故障，导致区域间互联的时延和丢包有所上升。目前我们的内网互联情况良好。

最新的网络时延情况如下：

香港 - 台北：13.7 ms

香港 - 新加坡：31.5 ms

香港 - 东京：44.1 ms

需要注意的是，只有当通信双方（A/Z 端）都通过我们的线路接入时，才能确保流量路径完全在我们的网络内传输，从而保证整体性能和稳定性。

对于网络的其他来源流量，我们也会尽可能在网络层面做优化，提升其访问质量。

近期我们收到反馈，有人冒充 Akari Networks 名义在市场上销售 IP Transit 服务。
