SITE AND API PLANNED MAINTENANCE
In 1-2 hours, we'll move our site and API to new servers.
All proxies will stay online, but the site and API will be offline for an expected 2 minutes.

As we will concurrently upgrade multiple software packages, some minor issues could be expected post-maintenance.
Please report any unexpected behaviour you might be experiencing. We'll be online and available to investigate immediately.

Migration was completed with ~2 minutes of downtime.
No further issue encountered.
DEGRADED PERFORMANCES FOR WIND PROXIES IN S4
Wind's cell tower nearby S4 is currently down.
As a consequence, Wind proxies located in s4.airproxy.io are connecting to a further tower that can't provide the same performances.
We are alerting the operator.

From past experience, we expect this case to be solved in the late morning of tomorrow (around 12-14 hours from now).

Providing more updates as we receive informations from the operator.
DEGRADED PERFORMANCES FOR WIND AND ILIAD PROXIES IN S5
The cell tower nearby S5 which hosts Wind and Iliad operators is currently down.
As a consequence, Wind and Iliad proxies located in s5.airproxy.io are connecting to a further tower that can't provide the same performances.
We have alerted the operators and are waiting for a response.

Providing more updates as we receive informations from the operator.

RESOLVED
Modems have reconnected to the usual cell tower: https://www.speedtest.net/result/16836290587
DEGRADED PERFORMANCES FOR WIND IN S4
We are facing slow speeds with s4.airproxy.io Wind proxies.
This is due to a problem on Wind's cell tower serving the s4.airproxy.io server room area.

We have reported the problem to Wind and waiting for their resolution.
As such issues can take hours to get resolved, please text @airproxy for a replacement proxy if needed.

RESOLVED
⚠️ ILIAD DOWN NATIONWIDE
"Iliad" operator is experiencing issues on a nation level.
Most/all proxies of this carrier are affected.

Usually issues of this scale are resolved fairly quickly.

RESOLVED
⚠️ S1 DOWN
s1.airproxy.io proxies are currently down due to an outage on both fibers we have there.

The outage is on the ISP(s) end and out of our control.
In the past this kind of issues was solved in 10-60 minutes, but we can't provide a precise ETA for this case.
⚠️ S2 DOWN
We are having issues with s2.airproxy.io proxies from a few minutes.

Sending another update as we have a clearer understanding on the problem.

⚠️ S2 DOWN We are having issues with s2.airproxy.io proxies from a few minutes. Sending another update as we have a clearer understanding on the problem.
Entire building has no power.
We've switched the system to a backup UPS.

All proxies should be back up in 5-10 minutes if there aren't other issues we aren't aware of yet.

EDIT:
We've been advised there will be an electrical outage for 3 more hours.

Deploying a generator in the next minutes to keep the proxies running.

EDIT #2: ALL PROXIES ARE UP NOW

EDIT #3: backup UPS has discharged. Already working to bring a diesel generator to S2.
⚠️ WIND PROXIES DOWN
We are seeing ~30% of Wind proxies across different server rooms being down.

It looks like an issue on Wind end. We are waiting for a reply from them to know more.

UPDATE: we've received a call from Wind's network technician. They haven't been able to identify the root issue yet.
We'll get another update call in the morning of tomorrow (~14 hours from now) with further updates.

Proxy replacements to other operators are available, please contact Diego @airproxy if needed.

We've been able to link the problem to a specific modem model we use, which stopped connecting to the LTE network after an (unannounced) Wind backend update.

We've also verified that using a specific firmware version we are able to connect the affected modems to Wind network again and we are currently in the process of upgrading them all.

UPDATE:
all affected proxies are now working
⚠️
We are seeing s3 completely offline, very likely due to the storm going on in the area.

We are heading the server room to check further.

EDIT: solved
⚠️
We are seeing s3 offline.
Staff is on the way to check/fix.

EDIT: solved
⚠️ OPERATORS ISSUE IN S1 & S6
We are seeing Wind, Iliad and Vodafone experiencing connectivity problems in the S1 and S6 areas, likely due to the storm currently ongoing.

We see them going up and down during this time.
We expect the issue to be solved shortly (within minutes or about an hour).

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON S6 PROXIES

tl;dr
s6.airproxy.io proxies will be offline for ~1 hour on Wednesday 21st at 09:30 UTC due to a server room relocation.
No action required. Proxies will come back online automatically with improved performance.

What’s happening
The s6 server room will be relocated to a new location a few kilometers away, which connects to a different and more performing set of cell towers.
This new site offers significantly better mobile network conditions, resulting in higher download and upload speeds.

The current location initially had direct line-of-sight to mobile carrier cell towers.
Recently, the BTS serving that area was relocated by the carrier(s), causing a measurable drop in performance.
To restore and improve service quality, we have scheduled this relocation.

Maintenance window
Date: Wednesday 21st January
Time: 10:30 (UTC)
Expected downtime: ~1 hour

During this window:
• proxies in s6.airproxy.io will be temporarily offline.

After the maintenance:
• such proxies will come back online automatically.
• proxy performance will be improved compared to the current state.
• no action is required on your side (no configuration or proxy details changes needed).
• proxies hosted in other server rooms won't be affected.

We apologize for the brief interruption and thank you for your understanding.
This change is part of our ongoing effort to maintain high and consistent performance across our infrastructure.

10:30 UTC: maintenance has begun
11:36 UTC: maintenance completed, all s6 proxies are back online
