At CES 2026, Fraimic showed Smart Canvas, a framed E-ink display designed to replace a traditional wall picture. Images can be generated by voice prompts using an AI system based on OpenAI, or uploaded manually through a web interface.
The display uses E-ink Spectra 6, which mimics the look of painted canvas. Power consumption is low enough for multi year battery life. The panel fits standard frames and works in both portrait and landscape orientation.
Two sizes are planned at $400 and $1000, with shipping expected from June.

Over the holidays, 30+ automation projects on Claude Code were explored, and the scale was impressive especially since most were built by non-technical users.
Individual creators:
β’ Mark Pike, a lawyer at Anthropic, built a system to check marketing materials, what once took days now takes hours.
β’ A marketer at Strategic Nerds automated positioning frameworks over a single weekend.
Corporate adoption:
β’ Thomson Reuters integrated Claude into CoCounsel for contract verification.
β’ Matillion added an AI assistant for pipeline creation, cutting 40 hours of work down to just one.
Personal projects:
β’ Many are building βlife OSβ setups combining Claude Code, Obsidian, and GitHub.
β’ YouTuber Kenny Liao uses it for content research, AI Maker for newsletter automation, and Claudesidian provides an Obsidian template with habit tracking and journaling.
β’ Daniel Miessler released a full PAI infrastructure for personal AI systems.
The common thread: One person can now create systems that previously required full engineering teams, not replacing developers, but dramatically lowering the barrier to entry.
Looking ahead: Most office functions will soon rely on these agent systems, which will continuously evolve as teams fine-tune them for their own workflows.
AI automation is no longer the domain of engineers, itβs becoming accessible to anyone who needs to get things done.

Researchers at MIT and Microsoft have developed an AI system that could make screening for multiple cancers as simple as a home urine test. The technology uses tiny peptide sensors attached to nanoparticles, engineered to detect cancer-related enzymes called proteases anywhere in the body.
These sensors only activate when they find their specific target, enabling detection at very early stages. Instead of trial and error, the AI explores trillions of peptide combinations to find the most precise matches, dramatically improving sensitivity and accuracy.
The result: a potential future where people can catch dozens of cancers before they take hold, all from the comfort of their own bathroom.

While AI-fueled tech stocks were hitting record highs in 2025, insiders at the worldβs largest tech companies were quietly locking in profits, cashing out over $16 billion in total, according to Bloomberg.
Top sellers:
β’ Jeff Bezos led the way, selling 25M Amazon shares worth $5.7B in June-July.
β’ Safra Catz (Oracle): $2.5B
β’ Michael Dell: $2.2B
β’ Jensen Huang (Nvidia): $1B, just as Nvidia hit a $5T market cap
β’ Arista Networksβ Jayshree Ullal: nearly $1B
Other notable exits:
β’ Mark Zuckerberg (Meta): $945M
β’ Nikesh Arora (Palo Alto Networks) & Baiju Bhatt (Robinhood): $700M+ each
Not panic, but planning: Most sales were part of pre-approved 10b5-1 plans, meaning executives were simply managing liquidity, not abandoning AI bets.
The pattern is clear: as AI drove skyrocketing paper valuations, insiders used the moment to turn unrealized gains into cash, a reminder that even during a bull run, smart money often takes profits at the top.

It lets users securely connect medical records and wellness apps to get more personalized, context-aware health guidance.
The feature focuses on explaining trends, preparing for doctor visits, fitness and nutrition planning, and insurance decisions.
This could become really big - and open up one of the most important markets for OpenAI. As is well known, more and more users are using ChatGPT for health features.

Over lunch in San Francisco, Rampβs CEO seemed to be enjoying a casual moment until Claude flubbed something and a waitress unexpectedly stepped in.
She switched the AI from Sonnet to Opus, fixing the issue instantly. So impressed, the CEO jokingly offered her a job and a piece of the startup. She shook her head:
βAfter seeing the code behind this project, Iβll pass on being a shareholder. Thanks, though.β
Itβs a charming tale but entirely fictional.
The story was actually a marketing stunt. The CEO staged a photo, shared the anecdote on X, and it went viral, racking up millions of views and giving Ramp a massive boost in visibility.

French and Malaysian authorities have opened probes into xAIβs Grok chatbot after it was found generating sexualized AI images, including of women and minors. Regulators are assessing whether the platform violated laws on offensive or illegal content.
Scope of investigations
β’ France: Prosecutorβs office reviewing complaints of illegal explicit deepfakes.
β’ Malaysia: Communications watchdog checking compliance with laws on indecent content.
Global context
β’ India and other countries have also raised concerns over Grokβs ability to produce inappropriate content.
β’ The AI has come under scrutiny for insufficient safeguards, highlighting regulatory gaps.
Platform accountability
β’ Authorities are evaluating whether moderation and content controls on Grok meet national safety and legal standards.
β’ The case adds to the ongoing debate about how generative AI should be regulated to prevent harmful outputs.
Grok faces international scrutiny for producing sexualized deepfakes, underscoring the challenges of policing AI content at scale.

A new study in Nature introduces SleepFM, a foundation model trained on 585,000 hours of polysomnography (PSG) from 65,000 participants. Unlike previous AI that only stages sleep or detects apnea, SleepFM creates a general sleep embedding from a single night of data.
How it works
β’ PSG captures brain, heart, muscle, and breathing signals during sleep.
β’ SleepFM resamples signals to 128 Hz, splits them into 5-second tokens, uses 1D convolutions, and pools channels via attention before a transformer summarizes the full night.
β’ Leave-one-out contrastive learning aligns each modality with the average of the others, making predictions robust even if some signals are missing.
Performance
β’ Predicts 130 diseases with Harrellβs concordance index β₯ 0.75.
β’ High accuracy for mortality (0.84) and dementia (0.85).
β’ Outperforms older supervised models that rely on fewer data, expert labels, and struggle with inconsistent clinical setups.
SleepFM shows that one night of comprehensive sleep data can become a powerful, general-purpose health biomarker, potentially enabling early detection of multiple conditions with minimal burden on patients.
