Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Laboratory Chemist at Nile of Hope Hospital. As a Laboratory Chemist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring quality control. You will also be responsible for calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and conducting experiments and research. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow laboratory protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
Strong analytical skills
Experience using laboratory equipment
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
Knowledge of quality control methods
Experience in calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:

Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work part of a team
Ability to work in shifts (morning-evening-night)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in a laboratory setting
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field

Overview

To ensure we produce high quality product for our customers that is complying with our standards.

Responsibilities
- perform chemical and physical tests allincoming packaging and raw material ensuring they meet the established specification and food safety requirements. (tests such as (Ph, moisture content, total solids.... etc.)
- ensure all documentation relating to the raw and packaging material including COAs and other required documentation are received for all lots.
- Report deviations as they are observed \Report on a timely basis any non-conformance identified with materials and or products tested.
- Carry out laboratory analysis on all lots of finished goods as per prescribed procedure for release of finished product
- Participate in investigations into product issues, customer complaints.
- Ensure retained/shelf life samples are stored effectively for traceability and testing as required.
- well-aware to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) within the lab, and Follow all the Lab. documented procedures and instructions regarding HACCP and hygiene
- To ensure all reagents, tools and instruments are kept in the correct condition and report any issues in a timely manner.
- Daily Calibration of the Equipment

Qualification :

- 2-3 years in laboratory analysis

- Food Technology or science ( chemistry ) Agricultural Education (science is preferred) Or any other related field and has the necessary trainings.

- Good Communication Skill and Good English language preferred ( B2 or A1 )
- Good at Microsoft office ( word , excel and PowerPoint)
