RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and enhance existing scraping system
- Fix bugs and improve data accuracy
- Extend current scraping features
- Collaborate with the team when needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in web scraping (Node.js + React ecosystem)
- Familiar with Cursor AI or similar tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Fast at understanding existing codebases
- Experience with VPS deployment & management
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

About the Role
Afridev is hiring a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to support the maintenance and enhancement of existing platforms while contributing to the development of new features. This fully remote position is well-suited for a motivated professional who excels at solving complex technical challenges across the entire technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance web applications and backend services to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Design, develop, and deploy new features in alignment with business requirements
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects while continuously optimizing system performance
- Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services
- Manage and interact with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical planning discussions
- Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability
- Support deployment processes and assist with cloud infrastructure management
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue
- Experience with backend development technologies, including Node.js or similar platforms
- Familiarity with web scraping tools such as Puppeteer or Playwright
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of authentication systems such as OAuth and JWT
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and best practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
