#22 Travelogue Turkey: Corona Geography
The virus itself may be interesting to scientists or scared citizens but I’m more interested in different countries’ response to that same little virus. Europe and Asia are obviously very different but what about Turkey? As expected, Turkey’s Covid-19 response is perfectly in the middle.
🦠 Turkey is in Europe:
The virus feels very much at home in Europe nowadays and also loves Turkey. People respond by wearing masks and following social distancing rules. Lockdowns and curfews are quite strict.
🦠 Turkey is in Asia:
People understand the rules more as a formality and wear masks outside where they don’t actually help. They may not believe in the rules deeply because ultimately they believe not in science but in fate.
