There is ONLY ONE CENTER and that center is present in every center of any system anywhere, so what happens in one CENTER effects each and every cubic wavefield in creation. Think of the so called Butterfly effect. Russell gives and amazing picture of how a nonphysical impulse is compressed into physical forces. I think he is describing the compression of light ether into electricity (just one of the stages of Steiner's cosmology).
His paradigm shows the grave error in modern science that assumes physical vibratory motion is the CAUSE when it is only the EFFECT of stillness. Very similar to some of Steiner’s ideas. Like stated in the beginning I do NOT agree with Russell’s metaphysics though. Lumping all spiritual phenomena into a homogenous cause makes no sense to me. This where Steiner is leaps ahead of everyone else as he discerned the various layers of spiritual activity driving physical creation. What Russell describes is essentially pretty low on the rung of the ladder of creation. That is not to belittle his work but to put it in perspective of a much larger perspective on creation.
