Time for some Walter Russell. Here are some short thoughts I wrote last year to a class I was teaching for MysTech (Steiner science on Mechanical Occultism)
In essence, Walter Russell painted the picture of how a universal medium is compressed and rarefacted into the different phases of matter. When thinking about this universal medium, think about what Steiner said about the original purpose of the Rosicrucians. [We will get into Steiner much deeper as time goes on]. They were working with a substance that bordered the etheric and substantial (material physical) realms. Russell referred to the universal medium Magnetic Still Light, Cause, Oneness, the Fulcrum ... I think he was very confused as this is NOT SOURCE he is speaking of. Once you study Steiner you will understand how Russell's notion of lumping all spiritual phenomena into one homogeneity shows his how his spiritual insight was truly limited. Steiner also spoke of how the detrimental sciences of the future will embrace the polarity of magnetism stemming from the zodiacal pair of of Gemini & Virgo, so I have kept that in mind as I continue to study Russell and try to see if it is the answers to our technological woes. This touches on mechanical occultism, which we will dive into very deeply in the coming weeks. I just write this as a preamble to say that Russell is not the end all be all. I question the impulse guiding his spiritual vision. Questioning the spiritual impulses behind everything is KEY. He saw much, don't get me wrong. In terms of our physical polarized and the superficial electronic structure of the universe I think he was spot on. I am in the middle of writing a comparison between Steiner and Russell's works. But using Russell as a guide for anything Metaphysical will drastically lead one astray. So let's dive into what Russell had to say.
The spiritual universe of Magnetic Still Light is the fulcrum that balances and projects its power to the physical universe of SEEMING polarized and sex-conditioned motion. All matter is a varying phase of pressure conditions which results in different crystallization patterns of form. Space is an expanded voided state and matter a compressed and aggregated state. This process of crystallization of matter is modeled by understanding the transition of the cube from the sphere. The cube is the spiritual condition while the sphere is the maximum of physical expression. The 6 faces and 3 equilateral planes within the cube are mirrors of zero curvature. The cube faces are the cathodes of the cosmic battery. Their role is to reflect and reverse in perfection any impulse that it occurs. They might possibly be likened to infinite planes of projective geometry or the dielectric inertial plane/bloch wall of a magnet. The corners and center of the cube are the anodes of the cosmic battery which represent the maximum points of compression into matter aka suns or elements like carbon and silicon. There are 9 (6+3) planes and 9 corners (8+1) in the cube. For the cube to become the sphere, vortex motion is needed. There is centripetal and centrifugal vortex motion. The first being Male and generating and compressing while the latter is female and radiating and expanding. The centripetal male flow is generative, assimilating, negentropic, convergent, compressing, gravitating. The female flow is radiative, dispersing, entropic, centrifugal, and divergent.

The vortex motion is a descriptor for spherical packing of the universal medium along a logarithmic spiral path. The sphere intersections are a systems of lenses which allow the pressure differentials to converge through a convex lense centripetally or diverge though a concave lense centrifugally. This traces the path of a cube projecting as a toroid donut that compress from exterior towards center, compressing into an incandescent sphere in a cube corner, to return back to the toroidal state and back to a plane of zero curvature. Compression occurs as a push from without inwards towards the center. Space is this expanded universal medium that has reach a maximum state of centrifugal voidance while matter is the maximum expression for centripetal compression of the universal medium.
He has something called the equation of locked potentials (+1+2+3+404+3+2+1). That is a representation of stages of movement not really an algebraic expression. Each step comprises of what he called the universal pendulum. The swinging rhythmic balanced interchange between polarities with 7 steps. Lining the cube faces are what Russell called 2 Dimensional Thought Rings. These are comprised of layers of concentric rings and are what are today referred to as the inert gases. He called them the key-tones for each octave of creation. He had periodic table of elements which were based on harmonic octaves (first he had a 10 octave then moved to a more accurate 9 octave chart). Look at the charts and notice how there are many elements preceding hydrogen. The inert gases are the closest things to Stillness (spiritual universe) within the world of vibratory motion. He literally called them the akashic record. Their job is to transfer the idea from the spiritual universe to the formation of substance in the physical. They are the middle man between spiritual and physical. They also record any physical motion and send it back to the spiritual. The 2 dimensional rings are oblated (flattened) and desire to become prolated into a sphere. And once the spherical expression into elements like carbon and silicon is reached then the pendulum swings to the opposite polarity to become a toroid again and 2D thought rings again.

Cold generates, generation contracts, contraction heats, heat radiates, radiation expands, and expansion cools. The rhythmic balanced interchange of polarities is what drives all physical processes.

He transmuted water vapor into heavier elements with conical sections being focused at precise angles of inclination. He also created fusion like temperatures from using conical sections that compress coldness of space into heat like a sun. Russell stated that Light does not travel but it is the reproduction of thought from cubic wave-field to cubic wave-field. The cubic wavefield to him is this lattice network covering all of creation. Others like Harold Aspden have offered similar views on a cubic crystalline lattice as the geometry of the substrate of creation.
