The Universal Vibrational Spectrum identifies 12 distinct bands of life force energy, each with specific functions across physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. French Radiesthesiasts identified this spectrum between 1930 and 1940, separating beneficial aspects from detrimental ones in each band, though other analytical systems exist, including Dr. Ibrahim Karim's BioGeometry which focuses on the Centering Vibration (BG3) and other configurations.
Ibrahim Karim's Physics of Quality describes how energy qualities transcend simple quantitative wavelength measurements. These qualities operate through Resonance and Harmonics across multiple Planes of Existence. Earlier French Radiesthesia research used wavelength models, but Karim demonstrated these were misleading. The 12 Bands get referred to by Color names for simplicity. They don't only appear within the Color Spectrum though. They appear within all quality scales. Within each quality scale, these 12 Bands in their transcendental qualities manifest throughout the Spectrums of Color, Sound, Shape, Number , Taste and Smell. Each Band functions as an archetypal energy manifesting through Sound, Shape, Color, Angle, Proportion, and Number as well as invisible radiations from a person, place, or thing. Quality manifests through Resonance. Any systems with similar vibrational qualities can exchange energy and information. No boundaries of space or time limit this exchange, nor is it restricted to just one plane of existence. Turenne conducted extensive research into wave direction. He differentiated waves moving in a horizontal plane (Horizontal Waves) from those moving in a vertical plane (Vertical Waves). He created pendulums with mounted Compass Needles on either side. These accurately detected the direction of energy movement. The alignment of needles determined which waves were being detected. When both needles pointed the same way at horizontal orientation, the pendulum would only detect waves moving horizontally from the direction the red pointers indicated. If needles pointed the same direction vertically, then the pendulum would only detect waves moving vertically from the direction indicated. Either upward or downward moving.
De Belizal and Chaumery identified relative toxicity of waves in each band by their interaction with Electrical and Magnetic insulators. They categorized them as Electric and Magnetic waves. These shouldn't be thought of as identical to Electrical and Magnetic components in modern physics. The Electric Wave was found not to cross electrical insulators such as porcelain and Bakelite, whereas it did penetrate iron shielding. The Magnetic Wave, on the contrary, was found to be blocked by iron screen but not by electrical insulators. The relationship between Vertical and Horizontal Waves shows that Horizontal Waves associate with beneficial qualities. They support life processes. Vertical Waves from detrimental sources create harmful effects on living beings. Electromagnetic fields, geopathic stress zones, and certain toxic materials generate these detrimental sources.
Seven Visible and Five Invisible Bands
Understanding how the spectrum divides provides insight into which bands operate in visible light versus those functioning in invisible ranges. The 12 divides into a group of 7 parts and a group of 5 parts. Rudolf Steiner's work made explicit this important spiritual principle. A 7 to 5 relationship manifests macrocosmically in the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Seven of the 12 Constellations are visible. They lie primarily above the visible plane of the Ecliptic. Five are invisible. They lie primarily below the visible plane of the Ecliptic.

The Four Ethers Within the Spectrum
Rudolf Steiner's Rosicrucian system of the 4 Ethers breaks down the Etheric Life Energy level into 4 parts. It explains how Astral forces move through 4 Levels or Stages of the Etheric to manifest Physically. Particular geometric structures in physical forms emerge from each of the 4 Ethers. Each connects directly to specific Bands within the Vibrational Spectrum.
The Warmth Ether is the first stage of moving from higher Spiritual Levels. Most directly from the Astral Plane into the Physical Level. Objects moving toward physical manifestation take on a heat signature. Physical eyes cannot see them. They require infra-red film to photograph them. The Warmth Ether relates to Heat and Fire. It represents the Reflection of Spirit Core (I AM Level) into Etheric. Spherical or Rounded forms characterize its Geometrical structure.
The Infra-Red and Red Bands carry these qualities within the Vibrational Spectrum. More beneficial higher forces in the Warmth Ether tend to manifest in the Horizontal Waves of IR and Red. More detrimental forces in the Warmth Ether tend to manifest in the Vertical Waves of IR and Red. Items which test as having strong Infra-Red and Red may have the function of helping bring in Etheric vital force. This animates Beings and Processes on the Physical Plane.
The Light Ether is the stage where higher forces and Beings become visible to physical eyes. They manifest through Light and Color. Light and Air characterize this Ether. It represents the Reflection of Astral Level into Etheric. Triangular forms define its Geometrical structure. Light Ether creates Triangular forms. The Orange and Yellow Bands reveal detection of this Ether. The Light Ether demonstrates the transition from invisible warmth vibrations into physically visible light phenomena.
The Chemical Ether is the stage where internal structure and organization establishes itself. Forces prepare to manifest into solid form at the fourth stage. At this stage things take on a liquid chemical form. The Chemical Ether provides the structure for everything which makes up the physical world. All Elements on the Periodic Table derive their structure from this Ether. A numerical basis underlies this structure. That's why this Ether is sometimes called the Number Ether. Sound manifestation appears here as well. Sound itself links to number structures. Musical theory and the vibrational rate of musical notes demonstrate this connection. That's the reason this Ether is sometimes referred to as the Sound Ether or Tone Ether.

The Warmth Ether is the first stage of moving from higher Spiritual Levels. Most directly from the Astral Plane into the Physical Level. Certain shapes alone, properly oriented and proportioned, can act as low-potential nodes in the ether.
