“Everybody has watched at least one relative die of cancer,” says Holman. “When they have to start looking around, they see that some of this other stuff not only makes sense, it makes good sense. And that’s a real eye-opener.”

All Holman needs now is for some independent laboratories to test and confirm what many practitioners are claiming for his Rife-inspired machines (see boxes, right and page 51). It may well be a way back to the future.

1898 – Electrical inventor Nikola Tesla, best known for designing our modern electrical supply system, proposes that human tissues are ‘dielectric condensers’ – storing high-voltage electric charges.

1920’s – After discovering ‘mitogenic radiation’ in onion roots, Russian scientist Alexander Gurwitsch postulates that a ‘field,’ rather than just chemicals, is responsible for the body’s formation.

University of Texas researcher Elmer Lund finds he can control the regeneration of Hydra, a genus of tiny aquatic animals, by applying tiny currents throughout their bodies.

1925 – Engineer Georges Lakhovsky creates a ‘multiple wave oscillator’ to treat cancer, claiming it works not by killing microbes, but by reinforcing the electrical oscillations of cell membranes so they repulse destructive pathogens.

1940’s – Yale University neuroanatomist Harold Burr discovers that changes in electrical fields around all sorts of organisms, from frogs to humans, correlate with growth, health, regeneration and the development of disease.

1960’s – Syracuse University orthopedist Robert O. Becker publishes evidence showing that organisms have a measurable electrical charge and animals like salamanders have a ‘current of injury’ at the site of an amputated stump, where the voltage climbs until the new limb appears.

1968 – Hungarian physicist and Nobel Prize-winner Albert Szent-Györgyi publishes his paper entitled ‘Bioelectronics,’ proposing that proteins in cells act as semiconductors and that ‘bioelectricity’ determines our susceptibility to diseases like cancer.

1972 – German physicist Fritz-Albert Popp discovers that all living organisms emit a tiny current of light and theorizes that light is the body’s central conductor, synchronizing activities.

1970’s – University of Liverpool physicist Herbert Frohlich introduces the idea that a collective vibration in the body carries out DNA instructions and gets proteins to cooperate.

1980’S – Using electroencephalography (EEG), Italian physicist Renato Nobili collects experimental proof that cellular fluid has EM patterns mirroring wave patterns in the brain.

The strange history of Mr Rife

Born in Elkhorn, Nebraska, in 1888, Royal Raymond Rife became interested early in life in microscopes and optical equipment, and worked for Carl Zeiss’ famous firm in Heidelberg, Germany. In 1912, he opened his own laboratory in San Diego, California, and allegedly accomplished advances in microscopy that modern technology is only now close to replicating.

In 1914, Rife was granted an honorary Doctor of Parasitology degree from the University of Heidelberg. But he also studied polio, herpes, meningitis, tetanus and other pathogens, attempting to discover their fundamental life frequencies to develop the electronic signal that could destroy them. He also worked on finding a frequency to kill what he believed was the virus that caused cancer.

Many famous scientists and doctors endorsed his ‘beam ray’ work, including Dr. Milbank Johnson, director of the Southern California American Medical Association. On 20 November 1931, some of America’s most highly respected medical authorities honoured Rife’s therapy with a banquet they called ‘The End To All Diseases.’

He also treated cancer patients from the Pasadena County Hospital, using his electronic frequency-generating machine. By the end of the trials, 100 percent of the patients were said to have fully recovered their health – a miraculous medical victory announced on the front page of the San Diego Evening Tribune.
In 1953, Rife published his book History of the Development of a Successful Treatment for Cancer and Other Virus, Bacteria and Fungi. In 1958, the State of California Public Health Department ordered that Rife’s ‘Frequency Instrument’ be tested by the Palo Alto Detection Lab, the UCLA Medical Lab, and two others. Although all four labs found it safe to use, it was nevertheless banned from the market.

Rife’s own lab was broken into twice, and many of his scientific devices, photographs and records were stolen, while an arson fire destroyed a lab in New Jersey just as it was about to publicly confirm the effectiveness of his beam ray machine. Medical journals also stopped publishing papers by anyone using Rife’s equipment. As the final coup-de-grâce, the police illegally confiscated the remainder of Rife’s life-long research.

Broke and reputedly addicted to alcohol and Valium, Royal Rife died in 1971 at the age of 83.

A pulsed powerhouse

A former MD and currently a naturopathic doctor (ND), Julia Schulenburg, head of the Center for Holistic Healing in Dallas, Texas, says she uses Pulsed Technologies equipment for a wide variety of conditions. Although Texas naturopaths like Schulenburg are not allowed to diagnose or treat medical diseases, many of her clients have seen their symptoms resolve when the technology was used to:

• ease insomnia, pain and allergies

• treat microbe-related distress, infections and wound healing

• assist lymph gland sluggishness

• deliver homeopathic medications

• remove toxins such as chemicals, insecticides, pesticides, heavy metals and others

• strengthen multisystem organ weakness

• mitigate the disruption of cell communication, energy chakras (centers) and chi meridians

• ease anxiety and biological stress due to electromagnetic frequencies.

Schulenberg’s success stories include the following:

• Insomnia. “I had a male adult suffering from insomnia and on Lexapro to sleep. After a round of seven consecutive sessions with the P3+ (one of Holman’s devices), he was able to sleep normally without Lexapro.”

• Lyme disease. A woman in her 40s with this diagnosis was, after a decade of treatment, still unable to work or lead a normal life. She also could no longer tolerate continuingantibiotics, and even natural herbal and supplement therapies were disturbing – she ended up presenting with symptoms of nausea, weakness, seizures and seizure-like episodes.

“After five weeks of integrative therapies, which included the use of two pieces of Holman’s equipment, the PPLED and the P3, she was able to continue on a regimen of herbals and supplements. Her seizure-like episodes stopped. With continued use of the frequency equipment with a supplement regimen, she was able to return to a normal lifestyle within one year.”

• Painful joints. One patient, a man in his 60s, suffered from swollen and painful joints of the hands, which were so stiff that he couldn’t make a fist or grasp anything firmly. He also suffered from pain in both feet while walking, and pain and stiffness in his shoulders, and he couldn’t raise both his arms over his head without pain. He also endured pain in other joints.“After three months with Holman’s PFG2Z and other supplements, he was able to raise his arms with minimal pain, increase his activities of daily living and squeeze his hands into a fist.”

Sending signals to brain cells

Before quitting his medical practice to engage in full-time research, Dr Steve Haltiwanger says he had excellent results using electrical frequencies to treat patients with rheumatoid arthritis. He prescribed nutrients as well.

How did he think it worked in those cases? “You convert a debilitated cell into a functional cell,” he said, “[by] providing the signal that reduces inflammation.”
He recalled another case where a woman with multiple sclerosis showed “remarkable neurological changes” after the device was used. “She was highly unstable and couldn’t lift one foot off the floor for more than one second,” he said. “After six days of treatment, she could stand unassisted on one foot for 120 seconds.

“I had never seen such remarkable neurological change in an MS patient in my life.”

Zapping autism
Some of the most astounding reports on the use of pulsed electromagnetic (EM) fields come from Dr Michael Payne of Richmond, Virginia, who treated a boy with autism so severe that the child couldn’t be examined in his office for the initial assessment – it had to be done in a gazebo outside. The little boy, who was ab
out four years old at the start of treatment, had no words, and would come in and trace out patterns in the office carpet with his toes.

For two years, his parents drove him twice a week to Payne’s office for treatments. “I did a series of frequencies that included brain reset and gut reset of the microbiome, a reset series for leaky gut syndrome and a reset series for cognitive health,” says Payne. “I also addressed parasites.”

At that point the boy began using words, one at a time. One hundred and fifty treatments later, he had moved past his diagnosis, was talking and had even developed a good sense of humor.

Says Payne of the technology, “I’m the one that’s amazed everyday.”
Controlled levitation of nanostructured thin films for sun-powered near-space flight
https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abe1127

"Light-driven levitation of macroscopic polymer films with nanostructured surface as candidates for long-duration near-space flight. We levitated centimeter-scale disks made of commercial 0.5 micron-thick mylar film coated with carbon nanotubes on one side. When illuminated with light intensity comparable to natural sunlight, the polymer disk heats up and interacts with incident gas molecules differently on the top and bottom sides, producing a net recoil force. We observed the levitation of 6-mm-diameter disks in a vacuum chamber at pressures between 10 and 30 Pa. Moreover, we controlled the flight of the disks using a shaped light field that optically trapped the levitating disks. Our experimentally validated theoretical model predicts that the lift forces can be many times the weight of the films, allowing payloads of up to 10 milligrams for sunlight-powered low-cost microflyers at altitudes of 50 to 100 km."
Optimized array nanostructure for plasmonically induced motion force generation

https://opg.optica.org/oe/fulltext.cfm?uri=oe-31-21-33945&id=540321

"The growing demand to manipulate objects with long-range techniques has increasingly called for the development of techniques capable of intensifying and spatially concentrating electromagnetic fields with the aim of improving the electromagnetic forces acting on objects. In this context, one of the most interesting techniques is based on the use of plasmonic phenomena that have the ability to amplify and structure the electric field in very small areas. In this paper, we report the simulation analysis of a plasmonic nanostructure useful for optimizing the profile of the induced plasmonic field distribution and thus the motion dynamics of a nanoparticle, overcoming some limitations observed in the literature for similar structures. The elementary cell of the proposed nanostructure consists of two gold scalene trapezoids forming a planar V-groove. The spatial replication of this elementary cell to form linear or circular array sequences is used to improve the final nanoparticle velocity. The effect of the geometry variation on the plasmonic behaviour and consequently on the force generated, was analyzed in detail. The results suggest that this optimized plasmonic structure has the potential to efficiently propel macroscopic objects, with implications for various fields such as aerospace and biomedical research."
Self-stabilizing photonic levitation and propulsion of nanostructured macroscopic objects

https://daedalus.caltech.edu/files/2019/04/s41566-019-0373-y1.pdf

"Light is a powerful tool to manipulate matter, but existing approaches often necessitate focused, high-intensity light that limits
the manipulated object’s shape, material and size. Here, we report that self-stabilizing optical manipulation of macroscopic—
millimetre-, centimetre- and even metre-scale—objects could be achieved by controlling the anisotropy of light scattering along
the object’s surface. In a scalable design that features silicon resonators on silica substrate, we identify nanophotonic structures that can self-stabilize when rotated and/or translated relative to the optical axis. Nanoscale control of scattering across
a large area creates restoring behaviour by engineering the scattered phase, without needing to focus incident light or excessively constrain the shape, size or material composition of the object. Our findings may lead to platforms for manipulating
macroscopic objects, with applications ranging from contactless wafer-scale fabrication and assembly, to trajectory control for
ultra-light spacecraft and even laser-propelled light sails for space exploration."

Giant intrinsic chiro-optical activity in planar dielectric nanostructures

https://www.nature.com/articles/lsa2017158

"The strong optical chirality arising from certain synthetic metamaterials has important and widespread applications in polarization optics, stereochemistry and spintronics. However, these intrinsically chiral metamaterials are restricted to a complicated three-dimensional (3D) geometry, which leads to significant fabrication challenges, particularly at visible wavelengths. Their planar two-dimensional (2D) counterparts are limited by symmetry considerations to operation at oblique angles (extrinsic chirality) and possess significantly weaker chiro-optical responses close to normal incidence. Here, we address the challenge of realizing strong intrinsic chirality from thin, planar dielectric nanostructures. Most notably, we experimentally achieve near-unity circular dichroism with ~90% of the light with the chosen helicity being transmitted at a wavelength of 540 nm. This is the highest value demonstrated to date for any geometry in the visible spectrum. We interpret this result within the charge-current multipole expansion framework and show that the excitation of higher-order multipoles is responsible for the giant circular dichroism. These experimental results enable the realization of high-performance miniaturized chiro-optical components in a scalable manner at optical frequencies."
Wallace D. Wattles and the Original Substance
Sourced from a post in the Sympathetic Vibratory Physics FB Group run by Dale Pond

"There is no limit to the supply of Formless Stuff, or Original Substance. The universe is made out of it; but it was not all used in making the universe. The spaces in, through, and between the forms of the visible universe are permeated and filled with the Original Substance; with the Formless Stuff; with the raw material of all things. Ten thousand times as much as has been made might still be made, and even then we should not have exhausted the supply of universal raw material.

No man, therefore, is poor because nature is poor, or because there is not enough to go around. Nature is an inexhaustible storehouse of riches; the supply will never run short. Original Substance is alive with creative energy, and is constantly producing more forms. When the supply of building material is exhausted, more will be produced; when the soil is exhausted so that foodstuffs and materials for clothing will no longer grow upon it, it will be renewed or more soil will be made. When all the gold and silver has been dug from the earth, if man is still in such a stage of social development that he needs gold and silver, more will be produced from the Formless. The Formless Stuff responds to the needs of man; it will not let him be without any good thing.

This is true of man collectively; the race as a whole is always abundantly rich, and if individuals are poor, it is because they do not follow the Certain Way of doing things which makes the individual man rich.

The Formless Stuff is intelligent; it is stuff which thinks. It is alive, and is always impelled toward more life.

It is the natural and inherent impulse of life to seek to live more; it is the nature of intelligence to enlarge itself, and of consciousness to seek to extend its boundaries and find fuller expression. The universe of forms has been made by Formless Living Substance, throwing itself into form in order to express itself more fully.

The universe is a great Living Presence, always moving inherently toward more life and fuller functioning.

Nature is formed for the advancement of life; its impelling motive is the increase of life. For this cause, everything which can possibly minister to life is bountifully provided; there can be no lack unless God is to contradict himself and nullify his own works.

You are not kept poor by lack in the supply of riches; it is a fact which I shall demonstrate a little farther on that even the resources of the Formless Supply are at the command of the man or woman who will act and think in a Certain Way." "Daniel Joachim Kleiven is a philosopher and economist with a fondness for Aristotle and St. Thomas who we found through a recent IAI article entitled “The Laws of Nature Explain Very Little.” In it, Joachim makes an argument that mathematics are a poor substitute for true understanding, and so cannot be considered ground truth of the universe. We discuss the philosophical path that brought him to this realization, the long history of people agonizing over this question, and what he suggests we replace mathematics with."

Losing Sight of the End of Science | John Horgan
TheDemystifySci Podcast #223

"John Horgan is a journalist and author who has written books on quantum physics, consciousness, war, sex, attention, and mysticism. He was a columnist for Scientific American for 11 years, until they fired him for his 1995 book, The End of Science. In it, Horgan argues that increases in human knowledge have reached an asymptotic phase of marginal improvements, and the future of science is going to look a whole lot like the present. Twenty five years after publication, Horgan’s certainty about the fate of science has started to waver. Quantum physics doesn’t totally fit together, the JWST keeps finding things that don’t make any sense, and our sense of what makes a biological organism is getting constantly blown apart. In our conversation, we go through what Horgan saw that made him so confident that we were almost at the end, how the landscape has changed since the mid nineties, the areas of science that seem most likely to open a whole new world of study for generations to come, and ideas that probably aren't going anywhere, but maybe should."

As Thomas Kuhn showed so well, the path of science is characterized by periods of revolution during which the dogmatic system of beliefs derived from the past is replaced by a new paradigm—a new view of how things work. This change is brought about by the gradually increasing failure of the established paradigm to deliver on its promises and the ability of the new one [better to] explain reality. As in all revolutions, the change in ideas is always bitterly opposed by the practitioners of the established paradigm.
The paradigm that was in place in the 1950s was based on the chemical-mechanistic concept of life. In this view, living things were chemical-mechanistic machines whose capabilities were constrained to those functions permitted by this model; there was no place for any characteristics, such as autonomy or self-healing, that did not fit this mold. This was reinforced until it became a dogma, the proponents of which claimed to know everything there was to know about life. This paradigm not only dominated our society but ruled the medical profession as well, limiting both the methods that could be used to bring about a cure and our perception of the ability of the human body to hear itself.
As each technological advance entered medical practice, we found ourselves paying an increasing price of unexpected side effects. Most technological cures for cancer, for example, were found to be carcinogenic themselves. Because such unexpected side effects have required additional "technological fixes," we now find ourselves in a spiral in which technological applications are piled one atop another, with no end in sight and no cure for the patient.
The chemical-mechanistic paradigm has failed, and a medical revolution has begun. Today, motivated by a growing dissatisfaction with the mechanistic concept and the treatments it dictates, many physicians are reexamining and applying therapeutic techniques that were previously discarded as "unscientific" by academic medicine. The use of foods, herbs, meditation, and acupuncture are only a few examples. This radical change in medical practice is deeply rooted in Ancient concepts of life, energy, and medicine, and it includes a reaffirmation of the innate healing ability of living things.

Energy medicine is actually a generic term, one that is used to refer to many ancient and some modern medical practices. It is derived from the concept of alternative or holistic medicine, which encompasses many different therapeutic disciplines but which views each as a separate entity with different mechanisms of action.
The idea of an energy medicine that postulates a common basis for all these disciplines has arisen lately because of new discoveries in biology that cast serious doubt on strictly mechanistic concepts of life and seem to reintroduce the old idea of body energy. These discoveries are not "vitalistic" in the sense that they prove or even hint at some mysterious, unknowable life force. Rather, they reveal the presence of electrical and magnetic forces at the most basic levels within living organisms. These discoveries, which are the basis for a new scientific revolution, are rapidly changing what we believe about the way things work.
The practitioners of each discipline of alternative medicine (for example, acupuncturists, homeopaths, and electrotherapy practitioners) eagerly—and often prematurely—embraced this latest scientific revolution as their own, postulating that these energetic systems were the ones accessed by their particular techniques and that other alternative methods lacked this ability. However, more recently the idea has arisen that this one common principle could be applied to all alternative medical techniques. As a result, the generic term energy medicine was coined.
While this scientific revolution was brewing, a revolution in medical practices was also occurring. Patients were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with orthodox medicine. The promises of technology implied by such ideas as "the war on cancer" were unfulfilled. That war seemed, in fact, turned into one of attrition, with the patients suffering the casualties and bearing the increasing expenses. Hospitals were becoming dangerous places to enter; patients sometimes entered with minor illnesses and left with permanent disabilities resulting from one complication after another. The old adage, "The doctor knows best," began to be replaced with "The doctor is usually wrong" or worse, "Your doctor can make you sicker than you already are."
Some patients discovered the various disciplines of energy medicine, which appeared to have three outstanding things to offer. First, they would do no harm; second, they often seemed to do some good; and third, they were much less expensive than orthodox medicine. As a result, the number of patients treated with these unorthodox, unapproved techniques has increased markedly over the past decade.
In sum, the revolution in biology and medicine has been brought about in part by consumer dissatisfaction with orthodox medicine—with its increasingly impersonal technological sophistication, its high costs and its inefficiency—and in part by the new scientific data challenging the mechanistic view of life
There are many questions raised by this revolution. Is energy medicine scientifically real, or is it simply the newest quackery? Which of the newest techniques, if any, holds the key to its application? Are there really body energies that play a role in healing? And, most importantly, will energy medicine survive to dominate orthodox medicine or to become integrated with it? Or will it simply disappear, like so many fads of the past?

The Lost Technology of The Electrofield

In 1987 Dr. Guido Ebner demonstrates on TV the revival of an ancient fern plant by having applied an electric field to a bunch of normal fern spores.
For some reason the regular fern spores grew into a different, larger and stronger fern plant.

He did the same to corn, when an electrostatic field was applied to the corn seedlings the seedlings grew not only into larger and stronger corn but also had 12 cobs on 1 stalk.

Scientists meticulously studied all the spores the fern produced. From them however, completely different ferns emerged:
“We received male ferns, beech ferns, a type of South African leather fern, normal stag’s tongue ferns and ferns we could not clearly identify. Apparently our ancient fern was able to develop practically all types of fern”.

The fern had returned to its primordial form, the prime antecedent from which all the various ferns had emerged.

Salt Creatures
Ebner and Schürch got a hold of a halophilic fungus from a salt deposit in Riburg.
Every attempt to activate it conventionally had failed.
With the help of a static electric field they decided to culture it under sterile conditions in 28% salt water.

Under influence of the electrostatic field little fungal creatures emerged that were able to use the surrounding layer of salt to grow against gravity, resulting in bizarre crystal formations. The fungus became a carrier of the salt and formed tendrils armored in salt crystals. A sort of crystalline exoskeleton in order to navigate through the water.

Now imagine humans after a few generations breeding inside the electrostatic field, what strange powers and abilities would be unlocked?

Perhaps the most amazing experiment was on Rainbow Trout.
The electrically treated trout were a good third larger than their counterparts, heavier, stronger and with more vivid and colorful markings. They had strikingly pronounced dentition and bright red gills.
The lower jaw of the treated males also formed into a powerful hook - similar to that of wild salmon.

There are many more experiments which prove positive electrostatic effects on plant growth.
The agricultural effect of electrostatic fields had been described as early as 1755 in a popular science publication.
And in the 1930’s as seen in Der Orga-Urkult.
In some publications startling effects were described: vegetation periods could be shortened by 1/3 to 2/3 and some reports speak of 3x the increase in yields.

But also a lot more recently: here are 5 successful studies from the past 20 years that show that without a doubt, electro-culture works.

Guido Ebner and Heinz Schürch, two scientists in research & development at one of the 10 largest chemical companies in the world - Ciba-Geigy.
The Swiss company sells chemical products and services in three markets: health, agriculture and industry.

The Ciba Group checked the discoveries of the scientists, patented the process - and immediately stopped further research.
Astonishingly the patent submitted by Ebner still states the morphogenetic effects:
“All in all, the use of the method according to the invention surprisingly leads, for example, to a positive change in development and growth efficiency, morphogenesis, possibly gene expression patterns,
susceptibility to stress, resistance to pathogens…”

Ciba-Ceigy (Novartis) is a big pharmaceutical company. They wouldn’t allow some crackpot speculation on their patent applications. Every word would have been verified and scrutinized by patent lawyers.

Nevertheless the research was halted..

The results of these experiments have been nothing short of spectacular yet every time the technology tries to resurface it gets purged.
Of course, genetic engineering of crops is far more profitable
(and so is a degenerate population).

Schürch identified a possible explanation in the fact that the composition of earth’s atmosphere used to be different than it is today. The electric fields in the Atmosphere were more powerful:

“The moment I can change a set of chromosomes with a simple electrostatic field, as nature also knows, and keep getting archetypes of living beings that have long been extinct, I have to put a question mark behind whether all the information for the formation of living beings is really stored in the genes, in the DNA, in the nucleus.”
