Scalar Waves - Konstantin Meyl

In this little book, Professor Konstantin Meyl presents a hypothesis on the formation of the double helix of DNA.

DNA spends most of its time as a part of a mass of amorphous chromatin fibres and only takes shape when it is time for the cell to replicate (Meyl, Schrodinger, Lanka), whereupon it assumes the familiar helical shape and further winds around into a chromosome. The chromosomes replicate and the whole cell is seen to divide.

Meyl asks how these transformations take place - is it purely chemistry or are there spiral forces actively shaping the molecular structure?

Meyl is a physicist and so assumes that to get things done properly you need some sort of force and since attraction, repulsion and spirals are involved then those forces are going to be electromagnetic in nature. The hypothesis is that electromagnetic scalar waves (also known as near-field or Tesla waves) are created within the cell and form spiral eddy currents which help shape the initial helical arrangement of molecules.

Once the helix has been formed, the DNA acts as a resonant chamber for photons, creating an electromagnetic standing wave. When enough energy has been accumulated it is used to wrap up the DNA into a chromosome.

This all sounds quite reasonable, the forces of physics are used to organise specific molecules into a functional geometry.

Meyl believes in DNA as a source of genetic information and so therefore asks how might this information be disseminated to the gene-expression network. The possibility described is that the precise order of the base pairs on the DNA will alter the ambient electromagnetic field in a subtle way that is meaningful for the expression process (this has been suggested by others).

The frequencies of electromagnetic energy used are close to that of a blue-tooth device.

How else is a cell going to divide? It is held together with rather strong electrostatic forces which cannot be relaxed or else the cell will fall apart so what is needed is the generation of a strongly repulsive force which pushes the cell apart against the existing forces. For this we need a lot of energy which needs to be held somewhere without causing damage to the cell. DNA is then a specialised accumulator which is brought into being on demand, charged up and used to power mitosis.

Two daughter cells have to maintain two outer membranes each supporting a huge voltage gradient. This takes energy, more energy than one large cell twice the size. It therefore follows that an overall input of energy is needed. This energy isn't just lying around in the cell so there is a need for an accumulator (capacitor) to build sufficient resources to perform the task.

What is DNA for?

There are some saying that DNA is too unstable a molecule to act as a source of genetic information but if mitosis is what it 'does' then maybe mitosis is what it is 'for'?

Again, the idea that DNA is a radio receiver or transmitter of information needs to account for the fact that it spends only a small percentage of its time as a helical antenna.

DNA Summary.

I haven't particularly been looking into DNA but here is what I think is a likely summary based on what I know.

DNA exists and is used as an energy accumulator to assist in cell division (Meyl).

DNA is constructed and maintained by the cell itself (See Wikipedia on DNA damage). DNA is not instructions for the cell as it clearly cannot instruct the cell to create its own (DNA) structure.

Molecular activity within a cell is highly ordered and this is reflected somewhat in the structure of the resulting DNA. DNA is therefore at the end of the molecular causal chain - not the start (Mae-Wan Ho).

The mapping between cellular activity (genetics) and DNA base pairs is not one-to-one as there aren't enough genes to go around, but is good enough to support the whole industry of genome sequencing and the idea of RNA as 'genetic instructions' as part of the theory of viruses.

The illusion is created that the specific order of base pairs is what matters when in reality the important factor is the inter-molecular organisation that went into creating that DNA. Exosomes can carry biological information and are instrumental in many transfection procedures involving fluorescent mice etc. But again, it is isn't the DNA that is relevant but dynamic epigenetic activity of highly structured 'attractor states' (somewhat misleadingly described as 'gene expression'). The phenomenon of telegony is proof of this.

With the work of Meyl we can now think that the genetic information is hosted, not by an unstable molecule, but by highly stable (and unmeasurable) electromagnetic scalar waves. Isolation of viruses will never quite work as it is trying to look at the wrong thing. The illusion is created that it works because rigorous lab procedures create stereotypical activity in tissue culture that is reflected in identifiable RNA sequences.

Dose dependent relationships between 'viral load' and cytopathic effect work because of the way that electromagnetic fields can travel between cells and shift the characteristic patterns of behaviour to a new attractor sub-state.

Meyl on gravity

Konstantin Meyl has described physics in terms of a Unified Field which can be thought of as a blend of Electromagnetic Field Theory. Quantum mechanics and Relativity. Indeed, it contains these theories as special cases and is so consistent with them to a large degree.

Meyl has not given a name to his field but I will refer to it as the M-field as he is too modest to give it his own name.

In this first slide from his talk, two objects are in the influence of each other's M-field and the field in between them is rather strong, being the sum of the two fields combined. The M-field shares a property with Einstein's Relativity in that it deforms the nature of space and 'shrinks' distances according to the strength of the field.

Accordingly then, the distance between the objects is shrinking and so the objects move closer together. Attempting to part the objects will meet with resistance and this will be perceived as a (gravitational) force.

In this second slide, the field strength from the sun acting upon the Earth is seen to weaken according to the square of the distance from the sun so that the sunny side of the Earth is subjected to a slighty stronger M-field and accordingly, the lengths here are slightly shorter than on the dark side (far side). This means that the far side of the Earth is moving along a 'longer' path than the sunny side, resulting in a curved (circular or elliptic) path. (See YouTube: Big Bang is a Big Bluff says Meyl).

The orbit of the Earth here then is seen to arise from a purely geometric deformation of the M-field and there is no need for a gravitational 'force' or the idea of 'inertia' as is found in Newtonian theory.

How does this view compare with what spiritual science has to say? Certainly natural physical phenomena do lead us back to atoms, but what are these atoms?

They reveal what they are at the moment the very first stage of spiritual perception has been attained. At the stage of imaginative perception atoms reveal what they truly are. I have spoken about this in various connections many years ago in public lectures. Those who speculate on matter come to the conclusion that space is empty and atoms whirl around in this empty space. Atoms are supposed to be the most solid entities in existence. That is simply not the case, the whole issue is based on illusion.

To imaginative cognition atoms are revealed as bubbles and the reality is where the empty space is supposed to be. Atoms are blown up bubbles. In other words, in contrast to what surrounds them they are nothing. You know that where bubbles are seen in soda-water there is no water. Atoms are bubbles in that sense; where they are the space is hollow, nothing is there. And yet it is possible to push against it; impact occurs precisely because, in pushing against hollowness, an effect is produced.

How can nothing produce an effect?

Take the case of the space, practically empty of air, within an air-pump; there you see how air streams into nothingness. A wrong interpretation might imagine the empty space in the bulb of the air pump as containing a substance that forced in the air. That is exactly the illusion prevailing in regard to the atom. The opposite is true: atoms are empty — yet again not empty. There is after all something within these bubbles. And what is it? This is also something about which have already spoken: what exists within the atom bubbles is ahrimanic substance. Ahriman is there. The whole system of atoms consists of ahrimanic substantiality. The courage shown today so admirable in regard to external issues must be extended to the inner life. In this respect modern man is far from courageous. He draws back from all aspects of spiritual reality with the consequence that so many human beings experience inner dissatisfaction and insecurity. Very much has to be done it is true, before distorted ideas give way to sound ones. Nowadays there is, for example, still a preoccupation with atomic theories, even though the earlier crude form has given way to ions and electrons.

The modern view is that everything consists of atoms. Many are of the opinion that everything can be traced back to minute atomic structures. Matter is thought to consist of the tiniest of particles; i.e., atoms. And many scientists, in fact most, endow matter with force so that the particles of matter are supposed to attract and repel one another. At this point investigations come to an end. The 19th Century will be seen as a significant period in mankind's evolution: the time when the universe was explained as a structure of matter and force, a view that has been given classical expression in innumerable works. This example shows the extent to which ideas must be readjusted before it is possible to evaluate what is needed now. Let us hold on to the fact that there are those whose speculations are mainly concerned with matter; they imagine that the world consists of atoms.

How does this view compare with what spiritual science has to say? Certainly natural physical phenomena do lead us back to atoms, but what are these atoms?

They reveal what they are at the moment the very first stage of spiritual perception has been attained. At the stage of imaginative perception atoms reveal what they truly are. I have spoken about this in various connections many years ago in public lectures. Those who speculate on matter come to the conclusion that space is empty and atoms whirl around in this empty space. Atoms are supposed to be the most solid entities in existence. That is simply not the case, the whole issue is based on illusion.

To imaginative cognition atoms are revealed as bubbles and the reality is where the empty space is supposed to be. Atoms are blown up bubbles. In other words, in contrast to what surrounds them they are nothing. You know that where bubbles are seen in soda-water there is no water. Atoms are bubbles in that sense; where they are the space is hollow, nothing is there. And yet it is possible to push against it; impact occurs precisely because, in pushing against hollowness, an effect is produced.

How can nothing produce an effect?

Take the case of the space, practically empty of air, within an air-pump; there you see how air streams into nothingness. A wrong interpretation might imagine the empty space in the bulb of the air pump as containing a substance that forced in the air. That is exactly the illusion prevailing in regard to the atom. The opposite is true: atoms are empty — yet again not empty. There is after all something within these bubbles. And what is it? This is also something about which have already spoken: what exists within the atom bubbles is ahrimanic substance. Ahriman is there. The whole system of atoms consists of ahrimanic substantiality. As you see this is a considerable metamorphosis of the ideas entertained by those who theorize about matter. Where in space they see something material we see the presence of Ahriman.

In the cycle The Spiritual Beings in the Heavenly Bodies and in the Kingdoms of Nature (GA136), it is shown how a material planet actually arises. From the sun, which in reality emanates space by transferring the cosmic forces from the non-spatial into the etheric spatial, the Spirits of Form work in such a way that each one forms his ether sphere, and these all have their common center in the sun. These ether spheres are in reality the planets of our solar system. But now Ahrimanic Spirits of Form from the cosmos throw themselves against the activity of the normal Spirits of Form that emanates from the sun, and at the periphery of the ether sphere, they produce an invagination, which appears to us as the physical planet. Where we see this planet, there is actually a hole in the ether sphere of the normal Spirits of Form that is filled with Ahrimanic forces.

What is true of the physical planet as a “hole in the ether” on a large scale is equally true of every atom of matter on a small scale. The atoms also appear as “holes in the ether” to the imaginative vision that perceives the ether.

Imaginative clairvoyance first perceives only the supersensible, etheric-astral realm but not yet the subsensible, which, as all matter, is perceived by imaginative clairvoyance as a hollow space in the ether. The comparison with water bubbles is quite valid: for in these, too, is air, which is only not seen.
