Three Herders Reportedly Killed, 36 Cattle Slaughtered in Plateau Attack
Three herders were reportedly killed and 36 cattle slaughtered in an alleged attack by suspected Mwaghavul militia in Mangu, Plateau State.
The incident has raised concerns over what critics describe as selective outrage whenever violence occurs in the state.
Every killing of innocent peopleโwhether they are farmers, herders, Christians or Muslimsโshould be condemned equally.
The continued violence in Plateau is dangerous, and authorities must investigate the attacks, hold those responsible accountable and protect all communities.

Every innocent life should be valued equally, regardless of tribe or religion.
They condemn the killing of the Mwaghavul victims, but also point out that Fulani herders were reportedly killed recently, and their deaths should receive the same attention and demand for justice.
Their main argument is that Mangu will not find peace if each side only talks about its own victims and ignores the suffering of the other side.
They are calling on the government, security agencies, community leaders, religious leaders and the media to investigate every killing, prosecute those responsible, and protect everyone equally.
In short: No tribe or religion should determine whose life matters. Justice should be for everyone.
