⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Donbass offensive: The situation in Eastern #Ukraine at the end of 22 August 2022⚡️
▪️ There are no significant changes on the frontline in the #Kharkov region. Russian troops have launched several missile attacks on facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in #Kharkov, and there are artillery duels near the contact line.
▪️ In the #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) direction fighting continues.
➖ In #Soledar, the forces of the LPR People's Militia were able to occupy the site of a gypsum quarry near the Knauf-Gypsum enterprise. Clashes occurred in the area of Zalevsky Street and the refractory materials plant.
➖ The storming of #Bakhmutskoye in the suburbs of #Soledar continues.
➖ After the liberation of the village of #Zaitsevo on the outskirts of #Gorlovka, the Allied forces fight for the Mayorskaya railway station.
In the #Donetsk direction, Russian forces, together with the DPR People's Militia, advance in the suburbs of #Donetsk, trying to move the front line away from the capital of the republic:
➖ DPR People's Militia forces are moving from the direction of #Staromikhailovka towards #Nevelskoye.
➖ The 100th Brigade of the DPR People's Militia has taken the AFU strongholds on the Donetsk Ring Road after a long artillery preparation.
➖ Ukrainian units shelled towns in the Donetsk agglomeration again: several civilians were killed and at least seven wounded.
In the Zaporozhye region, both sides continued their artillery duel near the contact line: Russian forces shelled Ukrainian positions near Gulyay Pole, Olginskoye, Dorozhnyanka and Malaya Tokmachka.
In the direction of Krivoy Rog, Russian forces hit targets near Shyrokyne and Zelenodolsk.

Russian forces carried out strikes on Ukrainian army facilities near Kholodnaya Gora and Novobavarsky district in #Kharkov. At the same time, Russian air forces hit Ukrainian army positions near #Gusarovka and #Prudyanka.
▪️ In the direction of #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk), fighting continues in important sections of the front line.
➖ In #Soledar, the LPR People's Militia is fighting near Zalevsky Street and the Belokamensk Refractory Plant on the outskirts of the city.
➖ Wagner PMC assault units continue to advance on Ukrainian positions on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk). The allied forces are supported by aviation.
➖ Fighting continues in #Kodema, #Yakovlevka and near the Mayorskaya railway station.
▪️ In the Donetsk Direktion positional battles are fought:
➖ Allied forces are advancing on AFU strongholds along the #Donetsk ring road.
➖ Ukrainian formations shelled #Gorlovka and the Galaktika shopping centre in the Kirovsky district of #Donetsk, civilians are killed and wounded.
➖ Ukrainian forces fired a Tochka-U missile at a transport company in #Rovenky, Lugansk Republic. Ukrainian forces also shelled #Popasna with MLRS.
In #Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces shelled the railway station in #Vasilkovsky district in the region.
▪️ In the Poltava region, the Russian Air Force struck targets at Mirgorod airfield.
Russian forces carried out several missile attacks on Ukrainian army targets in the Shevchenkovsky district of #Zaporozhye. According to some reports, one of the targets may have been the Motor-Sich plant. For their part, Ukrainian units shelled #Tokmak.
In the southern section of the front, Ukrainian forces again shelled the bridge near the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant, some of the projectiles were shot down by Russian air defences.
