Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov, as part of a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, inspected facilities of the Russian military base deployed in the Republic.

🛡 The military base, together with the Kyrgyz armed forces, ensures protection of the sovereignty and security of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The 999th Guards Aviation Base (Kant city), which is part of it, serves as an aviation component of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region under the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO).

💬 The commander of the aviation base reported to the Defence Minister on the specifics of carrying out assigned tasks in the current military-political situation, the provision of units with modern models of weapons and military equipment, as well as the development of the facility's infrastructure.

✅ Additionally, the Russian Defence Minister inspected the organisation of combat training for personnel.

▫️During the inspection of the administrative and residential sections of the base, Andrei Belousov inspected accommodation and living conditions of military personnel and their families, and also visited the Aleksandr Nevsky Church at the base.

🇷🇺🇮🇷 Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov holds talks with Iranian Deputy Defence Minister

Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov held talks with Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, the Deputy Minister of Defence for Strategic Planning of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

‘We advocate for resolving the conflict exclusively through diplomatic means. We support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran. I wish the fraternal Iranian people and its armed forces fortitude and courage in overcoming all threats facing the nation. We are ready to do everything possible to resolve this situation,’ said Andrei Belousov.

The head of the Russian military department expressed confidence that Moscow and Tehran will, as before, support each other in any scenario.

In turn, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik thanked Andrei Belousov for the opportunity to meet and discuss pressing issues of bilateral cooperation.
