We can't solve a problem with the mindset that created it. Don't count steps, money or calories. Count your blessings. It is better to light a candle than to complain about the darkness. Where the past has taken you is a given. You decide how you continue your journey. It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense as we have seen much evidence of in recent years. When you become paralyzed by what someone else says about you, you consider their opinion of you more important than your opinion of yourself.


Don't fall in love with someone who says the right things, but with someone who does the right things. Yesterday I was smart and wanted to change the world. Today I am wise and I change myself. Youth is not an age but a state of mind. Those who truly love us will never ask us to be anything other than what we are. Be careful with principles; they keep you from thinking. Hang in there.
