Public launch next week with demands for the action and coalition bodies involved. XR doing a lot of the stewarding and production (keep your eyes peeled for ways to get involved). Aiming to get coaches full of people from across the region. Financial support (if needed) for local groups to book coaches is being planned.
It is being planned as a ‘day trip’, so start time will allow coaches to come from across the region.

📚A bit more about the book: In Consumed, Aja Barber will expose you to the endemic injustices in our consumer industries and the uncomfortable history of the textile industry; one which brokered slavery, racism and today's wealth inequality. She will help you to understand the uncomfortable truth behind why you consume the way you do. She asks you to confront the sense of lack you and she makes you challenge this power disparity, and take back ownership of it. Consumed will teach you how to be a citizen not a consumer.

Could you find time to help XR Nottingham by attending two online meetings per week to connect our group to XR Midlands? If you're into XR and would like to know a bit more about what's going on, this could be for you! It's an important job, but not a stressful thing - you simply help to relay information back and forth. Everyone who does this job says it’s fun and they get to meet people from all across the region.
There will be a team to support you and the job will be shared on a rota, so you won't have to go every week.
You need to be available on Mondays 6.15-7.30pm and on either Wednesday or Thursday evening 7-8pm.
