June is Men's Mental Health Awareness month- A lot of men are fighting battles nobody knows about.
We shake hands, crack jokes, talk about work, sports, cars, and everything except what's really weighing on us.
Check in on your brothers.
Not because they're weak. Because they're human.
The strongest men I know have carried pain, stress, loss, and responsibility in silence. Sometimes all it takes is one person asking, "You doing alright?" and actually meaning it.
Look out for each other. Make the call. Send the text. Grab lunch. Listen without judgment.
No man should feel like he's standing alone.

Tales from the papermill: IP Augusta GA. There's a travelling crane used to pickup entire truck load of logs with a big grapple. It travels on rails on the ground in one direction and side to side hanging down under an I beam up top. You are supposed to wear seat belt inside the cab but why would you? The thing can't move faster than walking speed. Well a sudden thunderstorm came up one afternoon and there was a microburst event. It blew the cab of that crane so violently that when it hit the end stop the cab came 1/2 of the track and threw the operator about 90ft down thru the windshield. In the investigation that followed they found that maint had not kept the brakes in working order... why would they, it only goes walking speed right? I think 3 people got fired for that one.

This goes to what I was talking about two weeks ago... it's not enough that something just works... you gotta think about what's gunna happen when something else goes sideways. Don't be the guy that causes one of your brother's wives to get "that call" 6 months from now. THINK about what you are doing.

This made me lol, i am the youngest of 3 daughters, no sons, i was my dads official ‘helper’, learned loads, and yes i got told off a lot 😂, but we had loads of laughs too, any of you dads, please involve your girls in the jobs at home, it was lots of fun 🙏🏻😁
