Tales from the paper mill: My neighbor worked at an injection molding plastics company. They had to clean out the extruders but the guy that helped with that job was out that day. So they called my neighbor out of the QA lab to help. It's a brass brush on about a 12' long 1/2diameter rod. My neighbor put a glove on and used his fingers to cradle that rod so it didn't flail around while another guy ran it with a battery drill. Well the dumb ass turned his hand the wrong way to cradle it and soon enough it grabbed his glove and wrapped his ring finger around the rod. His finger was pulled off inside the glove finger... like when he took the glove off the last two knuckles stayed in the glove. His finger started to swell and they couldn't get his wedding band off at the ER. There's a tool for cutting a ring off but they couldn't find it so he just asked for a pair of dikes and cut his own ring off.


When he got home, I visited him and my smart ass said "well this sure makes two in the pink and one in the stink easier". He said it was too soon for that shit.

1)don't use "grippy gloves"
2)don't put anyones hands so close to the line of fire. Here the cold have drilled a 3/4" hole in a piece of 2x4 and held the 2x4.
