Tales from the paper mill: At IP Savannah they have a "lowerator". A combination elevator and conveyor to lower rolls of paper from the machine floor to the basement. It stopped working so E&I went to investigate. With two shift superintendents watching, the E&I guy got under it and tripped a photocell. The bed of the lowerator came down on him and crushed him. 15 minutes later they're calling his wife to tell her she's a widow.

What JSA? What lockout? Who needs that shit? His kids could sure use a few more weekends with him.

I got a buddy who works for Brobeil elevator company in germany. He says the sounds these cams and relays make is a song for him... he can hear when a note is missing. He sometimes hears in his sleep.
