In August 2023, a Sikh grocery store owner in California went viral for beating an armed robber with a stick (described variously as a broomstick or bamboo stick) after an employee pinned the thief down. The incident occurred at a 7-Eleven, where the masked thief was stuffing items into a garbage bin and brandishing an unseen weapon. The owner and a co-worker intervened, resulting in the thief being thrashed until he begged for mercy.

No criminal charges were filed against the Sikh shop owner or his co-worker for the assault, as confirmed by authorities in August 2023.

Two weeks later, the door swings open and Marty’s wife sees a ninja dressed in black with a full mask standing there with a bloody katana.
