In the chat, I mentioned a local trucker dumping a high maint woman. I'll tell you his story. He grew up in Germany and one of the neighbor girls got a crush on him. She was 13 and he was 16, but she was a skinny redheaded tomboy. She kept telling her friends she would marry him. About 3 years later he realized this tomboy had become a young woman. She made him get on both knees in front of the church to ask her to marry. He loved her dearly but she was killed by a drunk driver. He moved to America to reinvent himself and try to move on with life. As I told in the chat, he came home one saturday morning to his high maint girlfriend who wanted to go to the lake but he needed to change the oil in the truck. He hasn't dated since. 8 years ago he had a stroke and lost everything to a medical bills including the truck. Now he's driving for a local trucking company and lives in 3 shipping containers off grid with solar. He bought a new motorcycle and came by to show it to me without a helmet. I asked why no helmet and he said if he crashes he'll get to be with his (deceased) wife. He also said he wants to deprive those damn doctors of the chance to study his brain (from the stroke).

You know that song "he stopped loving her today"? yeah that's this guy. He's living and doing things that make him happy, he's just waiting to see his wife again.

I've got a pallet of solar panels on a trailer here in the yard for him. We'll be installing them in January. At that point he won't have any bills and can retire.
