So how strange is the weather where you are?

Spring here came at the end of February (instead of in April) and we’ve already hit 70Β°, and had thunderstorms and hail. The grass is greening up and the snowdrops and some other flowers are already blooming.

Today we had some nice rain, and we are very glad for it

Spring planting πŸ’œ
Update:

While the moon was in Pisces yesterday, I started one tray of seeds:

Celery
Collards
Ground Cherry
Skullcap
Lemon Balm
Lobelia inflata
Marigolds
Yellow cosmos
I have a hankering to get my hands on some seed potatoes. I’d like to start planting this week.

In the meantime, I’m encouraging the chickens to spend a lot of time in the garden. They’ve done a great job gently tilling and fertilizing so far, but I’d love it if they put a lot of pressure on all the grass!
And of course I have to think about how much I can do out of all that I want to do.

Working with (disability) limitations… What I was working on last year was doing only 5 to 15 minutes at a time - and then stopping. so I don’t get into the push-crash cycle.

β€˜Cause I can do a lot over time in a few minutes a day if I get to do it every day.

Last year I had some success with this, but I definitely was cycling in and out of capacity, often not able to be working in the garden at all and then doing too much when I felt better.

I love being so inspired, but I can’t do it all and I have to choose
I am very grateful to be making some process in this kind of rehabilitation. I’ve been working with one helper in particular on pacing over the winter, and it shows.

There are a noticeable amount of instances where I am more able to make choices about how much to do and when.

We will keep building on these small successes.
