NO GALA DURING GENOCIDE, THE NAKBA STARTED HERE

Join for a day of teach ins and art builds today from noon to midnight at the lawn in front of the museum! 

The Queens Museum building was the building that housed the early UN general assembly that adopted Resolution 181.  This event set in motion The Nakba, or the Catastrophe, sanctioning ethnic cleansing and dispossession through the violent removal of 700,000 Palestinians and the destruction of more than 500 Palestinian villages. 

The gala happening today at the Queens Museum is an event with tables going for $25,000 that celebrates their complicity while profiting from the violence it functions within. Today, we reject the museum's sanitized image and re-name it Partition Museum for its historical and contemporary role in partition, extraction, and displacement.
