1930's footage of two men drinking in a #British pub. π»
This is a heartbreaking image of #British soldiers lighting a cigarette for a wounded #German prisoner during #WWI in 1916. Some may see a nice moment despite hellish circumstances, but I see evidence of #whatawaste each #European war has been.

A view into the life of the #British factory worker and their many hardships (1971). In a time when cash was king, life was still hard, but at least we had community & each other. Unions (government cons) & Factory owners helped trick workers into creating a 'STATE' of disrepair.
When will modern nationals realise our ancestors historically suffered in the same way we do today, due to the so-called #British Empire. Look at todays world & you'll realise that while we died in battle or factories, other nations benefited at our expense.
