“This hill is a natural monument that has a lot of gold and is one of the richest National Parks in Latin America,” he said.

According to a report issued by the NGO Committee of People Affected by Blackouts, around 3,296 failures in the electrical service were registered in Venezuela during January 2023.

For its part, the state that suffered the fewest failures in January was Vargas with 76, followed by Barinas with 77.

According to the committee, Venezuela suffers from intermittent blackouts on a daily basis, which can sometimes last for more than 24 hours, especially in the interior states of the country. The Venezuelan regime attributes the problem to "programmed attacks", mainly from the United States, and to international sanctions that prevent the respective preventive maintenance and modernization of the system.
