Chevron conditions new investments in Venezuela on greater legal security
The company's executive director, Mike Wirth, explained during a conference with investors that, although they have observed positive signals in the development of the Venezuelan energy sector, important doubts persist regarding the fiscal framework and legal mechanisms for dispute resolution.
Wirth indicated that Chevron continues to operate in the country through the reinvestment of cash flow to sustain its activities, but emphasized that no new capital will be allocated until there is greater certainty. "We need to see more progress before committing more investment," he stated.
