ELN announces the release of a kidnapped Colombian sergeant
The Colombian National Liberation Army (ELN) guerrilla group announced Tuesday that Sergeant Libey Danilo Bravo, kidnapped on February 14 in the municipality of Arauquita, will be "released alive."

He mentioned that the Guri produces 70% of the electricity that the country consumes but that this weakens other public services such as water.
Cities like Caracas, Valencia and Maracaibo depend on the National Electric System both to be illuminated and to receive water through pipes 🚰.
"At least 700 MW are needed to put the aqueducts and electricity service into operation in many cities," reported Versión Final.

The Ministry of Health of Peru decreed on February 23 a state of health emergency in 13 departments of the country for 90 days, due to an outbreak of dengue that has already left 16 deaths so far this year.
Through Supreme Decree No. 002-2023-SA published in El Peruano, a state of health emergency was declared in 59 districts of 13 regions of the country located in the north, center, and southeast.
The National Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Disease Control (CDC Peru) detailed that 11,585 cases of dengue and 16 deaths (12 confirmed and 4 under investigation) have been registered so far this year.
