🇨🇦🇻🇪 New York pays for voluntary transfers of Venezuelan migrants to Canada

The New York City Hall is promoting and paying for voluntary transfers of Venezuelan emigrants to Canada, according to several testimonies collected by EFE from beneficiaries of this trip that is processed at the same bus station.

A first bus with immigrants left this Monday and another is preparing for the night from Monday to Tuesday, as EFE was able to verify.

“I am leaving because I left three children in another country (Bolivia) and here the immigration process is slow, it takes a long time and a lawyer charges $10,000 to get a work permit and Social Security, and does not even guarantee anything. A paralegal is cheaper but they can't defend you in court,” said Alfredo, a Venezuelan sitting in a corner at the Port Authority bus terminal in downtown New York.
