What happened today is incredible. Without politicians, without media, only workers and people in general. There were some politicians, but they were not the center of attention and they did not got the credit. Only teachers and unions in general.

Even in the most unthinkable villages where nothing happens and states that are fully in political control by Chavismo some of the biggest concentrations took place.

And at least in the one that I -admin- was, the atmosphere felt like this is just starting. Teachers want more and the people in the street you hear talking about the situation also want to be part of it

Even venezuelan Ohio, the State of Delta Amacuro which is also known as a chavista stronghold went in full support.

On the other side, all of these demonstrations remained peaceful. Which is good, but it appears that Nicolás Maduro is giving the order to not shut down them.

Reasons may vary, but I think the may reason is that the demonstrations are still not a threat. Teachers are not aiming to overthrow the regime but demanding better salaries, and this is because there is still fear. If situation escalate, that could change.

Venezuelan Prosecutor's Office issues an arrest warrant against opposition leader Julio Borges

🗨 "Today an arrest warrant was requested against Julio Borges, for the crimes of treason, conspiracy and association before the two control court against terrorism", reported the attorney general, Tarek William Saab.

Saab explained that Borges has two prior arrest warrants, one for his direct participation in the theft of state gold deposited in the Bank of England, and another for planning and financing the assassination attempt against the head of state that occurred in August 2018.

The arrest warrant was issued after the opposition leader and fugitive from Venezuelan justice Leopoldo López confirmed in a video that Borges had a direct and essential participation in the April 30, 2019 attempt
