⚠️🇺🇸🇻🇪 United States Authorizes Direct Transfer of Earthquake Relief Funds to the Government of Venezuela

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) clarified that funds intended to address the emergency caused by the earthquakes of June 24th in Venezuela can be sent directly to the national government.

Under General License 60, these payments do not need to go through the Foreign Government Deposits Account (FGDF), which facilitates the flow of financial aid and humanitarian loans.

This flexibility includes the payment of taxes, fees, and other charges to the Venezuelan government, provided that they are strictly linked to assistance efforts.
