Scientists discover a mud volcano off the coast of Trinidad, formed by the earthquakes in Venezuela.

This was confirmed by geoscientist Xavier Moonan, who detailed that the volcano is located approximately 2.5 kilometers east of Beach Camp, in Palo Seco, and 3.3 kilometers east of the Mud Volcano of Anglais Point.

Rising about four meters above the seabed, the volcano is mainly composed of soft clay extruded from beneath the ocean floor, with fragments of rock embedded and large rocks rich in calcite that, in some places, resemble coral.

"I believe that the majority of people were rescued during that early morning and the following two days, even before the international rescue teams arrived," he said.

According to his explanation, within less than three hours, the sole authority designated by the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, was already in the area, along with a contingent of Civil Protection personnel, which initiated a three-phase plan: emergency response, recovery, and rebuilding.
