NGOs and activists reject the Public Ministry's statement on the Víctor Quero case: it has key omissions

The reactions to the report focused on what, in the opinion of several actors, was not explained in the official document: the circumstances of the arrest, the period in which the citizen remained in state custody, and the details about his death.

The former Venezuelan prosecutor, Zair Mundaray, pointed out that the statement attempts to close the investigation with conclusions that seek to exclude the figure of forced disappearance. He also criticized the forensic methodology used, the lack of clarity about the chain of custody of the samples, and the absence of information about the detainee's location during the period prior to his death.
