The humanitarian mission was coordinated by the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Defense following a request from the Bolivian government.
At the request of the Bolivian government, and in response to the situation that has caused shortages of food and essential goods in several cities across the neighboring country, the Government of the Argentine Republic has decided to assist by deploying an Argentine Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft to establish air bridges for the transportation of food supplies.
This humanitarian and temporary contribution, coordinated by the Foreign Ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, reflects the promising stage currently underway in bilateral relations since the inauguration of President Rodrigo Paz Pereira. We trust that, with the commitment of all political and social actors involved, the situation will be resolved promptly.
