Christ is Risen!

Today, Catholics and Protestants across the world celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Our Saviour and Lord, who gave His life on the Cross and has risen today, giving us eternal life.

We reject the consumer spectacle of chocolate eggs and cartoon bunnies that has turned Easter into a commercial holiday.

Easter is about the triumphant Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the foundation of our entire faith.

Mark 16:6
"Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him".

🇺🇸🇻🇪 US Judge Rejects Maduro's Request to Share Evidence with Other Defendants

Federal Judge Alvin Hellerstein, who is presiding over the criminal case against former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, rejected on Tuesday a defense request to modify a protective order on evidence and allow part of the evidentiary material to be shared with other co-defendants who remain at large.

The defense petition sought to broaden the scope of the order, arguing it would facilitate the preparation of their case. However, the judge accepted the prosecution's position, maintaining a strict text that prohibits the disclosure of the material to any defendant mentioned in the file who has not been arrested, as well as to the lawyers of those individuals.

⚠️🇺🇸🇻🇪 The current leader of Chavismo, Delcy Rodríguez, said on Wednesday that January 3rd put an end to extremism in Venezuela, referring to the United States' capture of Nicolás Maduro.

At an event held at the Miraflores Palace alongside religious leaders, she asserted that Venezuela "has changed" in just over three months.

The comments are part of what appears to be a strategy by Rodríguez to clean up her image in the current political process in Venezuela, which is under the tutelage of the United States.
🚫📃 Chavista National Assembly postpones approval of the Mining Law for the third time

After three hours of discussion and following the approval of Article 115 of the estimated 130 articles in the norm, Chavista deputy Orlando Camacho requested to defer the discussion to another legislative session, a proposal that was approved unanimously, according to Pedro Infante, the First Vice President of Parliament, who directed the end of the debate.

Among the 60 articles approved in the plenary session, Article 91 stands out, which establishes that the payment of royalties to the Venezuelan State of up to 13% on the gross production of the mineral, calculated on the commercial value of the final product.

The deputies also approved articles related to concessions that will be for 30 years, renewable for two consecutive periods of up to 10 years, as well as contracts for mining, sector registration, and activity scales, which in Articles 79 to 82 are identified as Small, Medium, and Large mining.

Among the taxes exempt for mining activities are the tax on large assets and special contributions to funds related to science, sports, anti-drugs, as well as the contribution established in the Law on the Protection of Social Security Pensions.

Mining activities are also not subject to state or municipal taxes.
⚠️🇻🇪🇺🇸 Bloomberg: Delcy's Venezuela is considering stripping Alex Saab of his citizenship to extradite him to the U.S.

The interim government of Rodríguez is also exploring measures to annul Saab's Venezuelan citizenship, as the Constitution prohibits the extradition of Venezuelan citizens. Cooperation with the U.S. would include pressuring Saab to reveal the location of assets belonging to the former leader.

Saab's case adds to the detention of other Maduro allies, such as magnate Raúl Gorrín and former official Alexander Vargas, generating concern among Chavismo figures who might attempt to go underground or negotiate with U.S. authorities.
