“I am concerned, because South America is considered a zone of peace. We are a continent that has no nuclear weapons, no atomic bomb, we have nothing. Our business here is to work to develop and grow. I am very worried about the military apparatus that the United States has placed in the Caribbean Sea. I am very worried. And I intend to speak with President Trump about this, because it is worrying me.”
The Brazilian leader said that Brazil “has responsibility for South America” and recalled that the country he presides over shares a border with Venezuela, “and that is not a small thing.”

Vente Venezuela denounces that 14 activists have been detained in November
The Human Rights Committee of Vente Venezuela alerted that at least 14 people, including party activists, members of other opposition organizations, and civil society citizens, were detained during November. The organization detailed on X that only one of them has been released and that the number could be higher, as many family members prefer not to report for fear of reprisals. Orlando Moreno, coordinator of the Committee, stated that these detentions are part of a growing pattern of persecution.
Vente Venezuela described the arrests as arbitrary and assured that they add to a long list of human rights violations in the country. The party called on the international community to support Venezuelans and act to demand justice, while the NGO Foro Penal counts 884 political prisoners according to its most recent report. The government and the Prosecutor's Office, for their part, insist that there are no detainees for political reasons and that all cases correspond to common crimes.

🇻🇪🇺🇲 US Judge Postpones Sentence of Hugo “El Pollo” Carvajal to Provide Information on Cartel of the Suns
Federal Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein of the Southern District of New York agreed to postpone the sentencing of former Venezuelan intelligence chief Hugo “El Pollo” Carvajal, following the guilty plea reached in the drug trafficking and conspiracy case.
The decision aims to allow a FATICO hearing, in which the alleged facts will be clarified and information about his involvement in the Cartel of the Suns, which as of Monday, November 25, has been officially designated as a terrorist group by the US government, will be expanded.
The hearing was rescheduled for February 23, 2026, and will proceed continuously until its conclusion, according to the court order signed on November 6. The postponement was requested by the prosecution, with the defense's consent, to properly prepare the presentation of evidence and testimonies that will allow the court to determine Carvajal's degree of responsibility in the facts.

⚠️🇻🇪🇨🇴 Dismantle in Lara a gang that kidnapped minors to prostitute them in Colombia
Members of the National Guard, through investigations, managed to thwart the transfer of seven teenage girls to a prostitution network outside the country.
The incident was recorded in the municipality of Fernández Feo, in the state of Lara.
Several teenage girls had been reported missing from their homes, and due to the number of cases and pressure from families, officials began investigations until they uncovered the entire setup of the criminal action.
The girls had been transported from Barquisimeto to El Piñal, from where they would later be taken to Colombia.
The minors' destination was to be sexually exploited in an international child prostitution network.
The case was referred to the Venezuela Public Ministry and investigations continue. Colombian authorities are also investigating the case
