United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an international air safety alert (NOTAM KICZ A0010/25) on Tuesday warning of a “potentially dangerous situation” in the San Juan Flight Information Region (TJZS), which covers the airspace of Puerto Rico and surrounding areas.

According to the notice, operators must “exercise extreme caution” when flying in the area due to an increase in state aircraft operations, suggesting an intensification of military or government activities in the area. The alert went into effect at 18:55 UTC on November 18 and will remain active until 23:59 UTC on February 16, 2026.

Amnesty International (AI) Canada criticized on Wednesday the Canadian government's implicit approval of deadly U.S. attacks on vessels in the Caribbean. It warned that this is a "serious precedent" caused by Washington's trade pressures.

Samantha is the sister of Lieutenant Cristian Hernández, currently in exile. Relatives reported that three trucks with hooded men dressed in black arrived at the young woman's home, where they allegedly subdued her and took her to an unknown location.
