🇺🇸🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago says it did not sign any agreement with the U.S. to use its country as a military base

The former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley, denied having signed any agreement with the United States that would allow Washington to use Trinidadian territory as a platform to attack neighboring countries. He also emphasized that the Caribbean must remain a zone of peace amid rising tensions between the North American country and Venezuela.

"As a person who sat down to dialogue with the Americans throughout my term, I can affirm that there is absolutely nothing in the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) that allows Trinidad and Tobago to commit to violating the United Nations Charter and militarily intervening in any of our neighboring countries or anywhere else in the world," Rowley declared at a press conference.
🇨🇺🇻🇪🇻🇪🌍 Some netizens are theorizing that the Cuban regime is assisting Nicolás Maduro's regime in Venezuela with Chinese radar systems for interference and espionage against American fleets in the Caribbean.

➡️ The image shows a spiral interference coming directly from Cuba, with no apparent purpose and lasting approximately 3 hours. The same pattern was observed three times during the year — one of those times when a plane belonging to Maduro's military circle was in Havana.

tl;dr Cuba fears being targeted while the US uses Venezuela as a scapegoat.

🇻🇪🇨🇴 Petro urges Maduro to free all political prisoners: "General amnesty"

Colombian President Gustavo Petro called on Nicolás Maduro to decree a "general amnesty" and release all political prisoners, following the release of Franco-Chilean Camilo Castro. The president highlighted the message of freedom from the yoga instructor, detained since June in Venezuela and welcomed in Paris by his family.

Foro Penal reported that there are still 884 political prisoners in the country, including four teenagers and 43 foreigners. The organization warned that several detainees are considered opposition members and that their cases reflect a policy of repression against dissidents.
