🇻🇪🇨🇴 Father of Miguel Uribe Turbay denounces that money to assassinate his son came from Venezuela with Petro's authorization

The Colombian presidential pre-candidate Miguel Uribe Londoño revealed that the funds used to pay the eight people involved in the murder of his son, Miguel Uribe Turbay, were transferred from Venezuela. Although the Prosecutor's Office identified the material perpetrators and captured alias ‘El Viejo’, a link to the ‘Segunda Marquetalia’, Uribe Londoño warned that this could implicate the Venezuelan government.

The politician also stated that the FARC dissidence involved in the crime, including the death of alias ‘Zarco Aldinever’ in Venezuela, operated with alleged authorization from Gustavo Petro and Nicolás Maduro, although he clarified that the origin of the money does not mean that the intellectual author is in Venezuela.
🇺🇸The New York Times: forensic experts consider credible the torture allegations of Venezuelans in Cecot

Independent forensic experts analyzed the testimonies of torture from at least 40 Venezuelans deported by the United States to the Terrorism Confinement Center (Cecot) in El Salvador and determined that their accounts and photographs of the injuries they described are consistent and credible.

The doctors, belonging to the Independent Group of Forensic Experts, were contacted by the U.S. media The New York Times, which interviewed 40 of the 252 migrants detained at Cecot. The specialists indicated that the detainees’ statements constituted strong evidence to support the torture allegations. The group’s assessments in other cases have been used in courts worldwide, the newspaper emphasizes.

Maduro urged member countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to categorically reject the militarization promoted by the United States in the Caribbean Sea. In a letter addressed to the regional organization, the Venezuelan leader denounced the U.S. military deployment near Venezuela's maritime borders, which, according to Washington, aims to combat drug trafficking. Maduro also called for an independent investigation into the alleged executions reported by UN human rights bodies.

The head of state proposed establishing regional mechanisms for humanitarian cooperation and collective defense to protect territorial waters and coastal communities. The request comes amid rising tensions between Caracas and Washington, following the deployment of U.S. military forces in the Caribbean under President Donald Trump's administration, an operation that has resulted in more than 60 deaths in attacks on vessels linked to drug trafficking, according to reports from the U.S. Department of War.

🇻🇪Venezuela is the third country with the highest incidence of cyberattacks in Latin America

Venezuela ranks third in Latin America for the highest risk of cyberattacks, according to Pedro Pacheco, president of the Venezuelan Banking Association (ABV), only behind Mexico and Brazil. Pacheco indicated that around 80% of the population has been affected by cybercrime at some point and warned that the situation could intensify during the December season, when economic activity and digital transactions increase.

The union representative highlighted that small and medium-sized enterprises remain the most vulnerable compared to large corporations, which have more robust infrastructure. He recommended creating cybersecurity committees, training, and financial education on cybersecurity, blockchain, and artificial intelligence as measures to prevent digital fraud and protect personal data in electronic purchases and digital banking.
