The secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, considered that in Venezuela "nothing major will happen," but asked Venezuelans to be prepared "for the worst," in a context where Nicolás Maduro's administration denounces the US naval and air deployment in the Caribbean Sea as a "threat."

"Nothing major will happen here, but our historical duty is to prepare for whatever comes," Cabello stated.
🇻🇪🇺🇸🇻🇦Pope Leo XIV calls for diplomacy to resolve tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela

Pope Leo XIV made a strong call this Tuesday to the United States and Venezuela to seek solutions to their tensions through dialogue and not through violence.

The pontiff made these statements during a press conference in Castel Gandolfo, where he was asked about recent incidents in the Caribbean Sea, where frictions between the two nations have increased.

Reuters: Venezuelan oil exports fall 26% in October

Venezuelan crude oil exports stood at 808,000 barrels per day in October, representing a 26% drop compared to September, according to internal PDVSA data reviewed by Reuters. The reduction is attributed to inventory depletion and the lack of diluents needed to process the extra-heavy crude from the Orinoco Oil Belt.

80% of shipments, equivalent to about 663,000 barrels per day, were destined for China, either directly or through intermediaries. Chevron also exported around 128,000 barrels per day to the United States under a special license, while about 11,000 barrels were sent to Cuba. The decline follows a brief rebound in September, when Venezuela reached its best export level in five years.

🇻🇪 Edmundo González: With the support of allies, we will recover our freedom very soon

Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo González Urrutia assured that, with the backing of allied countries, Venezuela will be able to recover its freedom and democracy "very soon." During his participation in the World Forum for Democracy 2025, the exiled former ambassador to Spain warned that it is easier to lose democracy than to recover it, and pointed out that the regime started by Hugo Chávez has dismantled institutions, ruined the economy, and caused massive migration.

González emphasized that autocrats know how to use the tools of a free society for illicit purposes and called on democrats to massively mobilize citizens to renew political capacities. He also warned that "dirty money" needs the weakening of the rule of law and stressed that new autocracies fall at the polls by reducing democracy to the dominance of a circumstantial majority.
