López spoke out on his X account after it was revealed this Saturday that Nicolás Maduro asked the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of his country to revoke the nationality of the opposition leader, whom he described as a "grotesque, criminal, and illegal call for military invasion" of the South American country.

In his message, the opposition leader referred to Maduro as a "narco dictator" and recalled that, according to the Constitution, no Venezuelan born in Venezuela can have their nationality taken away.

If the measure succeeds, López would become "the first citizen born in Venezuela whom they intend to strip of his national identity," he assured.
