New video by Mike Brown
I just ordered this book and read a little to my two older boys while they were getting to sleep. I read about Lexington and Concord. I also read about Washington being made the commander in chief of the Continental Army and the beginning of the seige of Boston. It is important for our kids to know these and the sacrifice so many people made for the American principles this country was founded on.
Today was a productive day. I had my first Zoom call with a small group of councils 61-75. We talked about our organizational structure and how to bring new citizens on so they have a positive experience. I made me a list of things I need to do and send out to the chairs. Our goal is to have things really up and running by June. I will post new talking points tomorrow. Thank you to everyone! 😴

TALKING POINTS FOR APRIL 18TH THROUGH APRIL 29TH
*The Biden administration is changing the definition of sex to include sexual orientation and gender identity. This rule is expected to take effect this May. It will require that all schools that take federal funding allow mixed genders in locker and restroom facilities and on sports teams. The parents in Utah will not allow this. This is a line we will not cross. As our state reps, I sincerely ask you to explore options to retake our education system and the sovereignty we should have.

*As part of its energy and climate agenda, the Biden administration is reported to be moving forward with light bulb bans in coming weeks. Instead of securing our boarders and addressing the national debt, this administration is regulating the details of Americans' lives, including what kind of lightbulbs we use. This trend must be stopped. Our liberties depend on it.

* The federal government will take whatever power the states allow it to. The feds desire for control is unsatiable. The genius of the Constitution is the division of power. The time has come for us to decide do we believe the Constitution to be inspired or is worth nothing more than the paper it was written on? This is a defining time in Utah's history.
* Utah is the right state to lead on sovereignty, as outlined in the Constitution, because of our balanced budget requirement. I am so grateful to those that had the foresight to require this.
* Thank the legislature for passing legislation that increases parental rights in regard to social media. This is clearly a state jurisdiction and Utah has the authority and moral obligation to protect the youth of this state. SB 152 - requires parental permission for a social media account for a minor. HB311- prohibits social media from using algorithms that are proven to cause addiction for minors.

Hi everyone,
I just texted this to my reps:
I assume you are going to the convention tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have to work. I had a meeting with Sutherland today. We told them all the plans we have for Constitution Month. I have been giving some thought to the situation we have here in Utah compared to other states. Utah is in such a good situation to lead on state sovereignty because of our balanced budget requirement. I am very grateful we live here. We should be leading on this!

Let's get those texts out! I have had a productive week with the Impact Councils. I have had several new chairs come on. I had a meeting with Sutherland Institute this afternoon. I have been there several times before, but not for a long time. I was rushing to get there. I parked in Citiy Creek parking and ran up to south temple and into the building. The lady at the front said Sutherland had moved. I looked at the address I had been sent and it said south temple. I realized they were still on the same street, but farther east. I had to decide whether to go get my car out of the parking garage or walk. It said it was .7 miles away. I started walking as fast as I could in boots with a heel. It was a good 20 minute walk. I definitely got my steps in. When I got there I was a little frazzled, but we had a great discussion with Rick Larsen. Thankfully, I was driven to my car afterwards.
I was thinking about Henry Knox and the miracle of the cannons from the Revolutionary War. I think you will enjoy reading about this remarkable story. Against all odds Henry Knox transported 59 cannons across 300 miles to Boston. He most certainly could never have achieved this without the help of God.

Henry Knox Brings Cannon to Boston
On this day in 1776, Colonel Henry Knox reached the headquarters of the Continental Army in Cambridge. The young Boston bookseller had pulled off a daring plan. He had led a small group of men on a 300-mile journey from Boston to Fort Ticonderoga in New York…
I had a Meet today with Dan Burton from the attorney general's office. I told him about our organization and our great concern over the egregious power grabs by the federal government. I feel that it was productive. I told him we are at a critical time in America's history. Will we fight for the Constitution or allow power to centralize in Washington DC? We are going to fight! We will give it all we have and then stand back and expect miracles commensurate to the founding of this country. I know we can do it!
I was born & raised in Malad, ID and am the 3rd of 5 children.
Although my dream was to get married and have 12 children, that was not what the Lord had in mind. So I have spoiled all my nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and am now working on the great greats.
I have been living in St. George, UT for the past 42 years.
It is hard to narrow down my favorite hobby because I love to do everything. My greatest passions are family history and the study of Native American culture and petroglyphs.
The most exotic place I have traveled would be Cancun, Mexico, however, my heart belongs to England, where I served my mission.
Most people are not aware that I am a veteran and also spent 12 years in the Civil Air Patrol, 7 of which I was the Commander of the St. George Squadron. As such I took my orders directly from the top officials in the United States Airforce. Fortunately many of our search and rescue missions had happy endings. I also received a call from NASA when the shuttle exploded over our western skies and led the search for possible debris in this area.
I am excited to work with the impact councils in striving to make a difference in our legislature by constant contact with our representatives. As a leader in the Independent American Party for many years I saw the rewards of our party constantly contacting the legislators of every state concerning important issues. We sent every legislator in every state emails each month encouraging them to support bills that were best for the people in their states and in the nation. Constant pressure works!
Thanks for all your sacrifice to get us organized and to stand for the the Lord in promoting the rights of the people and especially in saving our children.
God Bless
