HB 88 is definitely a bill we support! Thank you to Trevor Lee for running this bill that prevents anyone here illegally from getting tax payer assistance. Can you imagine money being taken from struggling Utah families to give to illegals.

Here is the link to last night's Zoom. Please watch if you didn't see it last time. I am so sorry that we had a technical problem and Zoom wouldn't let more people in.

High Priority Talking Point! 2/2- 2/7
Let's get this to our legislators.

Utah still has a lot of work to do on election integrity. Please support this slate of bills to restore election verification:
SB 153 Sen Johnson This bill will restore voter roll transparency.
HB 25 Rep Shepherd County clerks can verify signatures in their county only.
HB 27 Rep Shepherd All names of signatures will be made public.
HB 209 Rep Maloy Proof of citizenship is required to register to vote.
HB 479 Rep Burton's bill requiring Voter ID.

We definitely support HB 25 sponsor Rep Lisa Shepherd. The way to protect elections is the fragmentation of power. Each county clerk should be certifying their own signatures. Never should one county clerk (Brian McKenzie from Davis District) have been allowed to verify all the signatures for the 2024 race for governor.

Apparently, there are groups out there trying to intimidate and confuse people about signing the petition to overturn Prop 4. If you haven't signed you need to! By overturning Prop 4 we are standing for the Utah Constitution that explicitly gives authority to draw congressional maps to our legislature.
This is wonderful! Freedom of Religion is one of our most cherished rights.

“Our Constitution safeguards the free exercise of religion as one of the guiding principles of our republic, and we will vigorously protect that right in America’s public schools,” U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said in a statement.

Today has been a busy day. I worked this morning and got done about 1:00. I have been working on things for the organization this afternoon. I am encouraging everyone to get the talking point out about the election integrity bills. I have sent mine out. It is so easy to send a text! If legislators heard from ten constituents they would really take notice. We have a lot of influence on the state level.

I was on the podcast We are the People talking about taxation without representation. Senator Harper is running the worst bill this session as of now SB 39. This bill creates a new way to take tax dollars through tax increment financing. He continues to say it is only recodification. This is not true. I am preparing for our campaign to let more citizens know what is going on. Thank you to those that have donated to the campaign.
I was up at the Capitol today. We had a coalition meeting where we discuss different issues and bills. This is Phyllis Kimple from the World Wide Organization of Women. She is amazing. There are so many great people. 💗
Reality can only be ignored for so long. You don't need to be a doctor or in the medical industry to know that trying to change a healthy body to become an opposite gender isn't going to end well. I am heartbroken over the kids with mental health problems that have been their victims. The AMA finally had to admit these procedures are harmful.

Vitamin K Amendments SB 170 Sen Jen Plumb
OPPOSE

This bill requires all newborns to receive Vit K unless the parents fill out the form below that becomes part of the infant's medical records. What we all learned from covid is how important medical freedom is. The parent should not have to be signing the form.

The parent signs a form acknowledging that the parent understands the reason for
vitamin K administration and the risks of possible adverse health outcomes.
(4)The form described in Subsection (3)(b) shall be part of the newborn infant's medical
record.

This bill is on the floor of the senate.

Kratom Adjustments SB 45 Sen McKell
SUPPORT

This bill bans the use of Kratom. This is very interesting because I am just learning about this substance.

Kratom is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. Its leaves contain psychoactive compounds—primarily mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine—that interact with opioid receptors in the brain, producing effects that can range from stimulant-like (increased energy, alertness) at low doses to opioid-like (relaxation, pain relief) at higher doses.

Have other people heard about this? It is being sold in health food stores and even at Maverick. It is very addicting. In fact a lady I know who is really involved at the Capitol said her son has gotten addicted to this. It is a dangerous compound and does cause physical harm to the body. I definitely support this bill. Addictions are one of Satan's best tools. They cause so much suffering to individuals and families.

This bill has passed the senate second reading calendar. In the senate they vote on bills twice.

It was fun to see Myranda Hoberson at the Capitol today. She is chair for 26. So grateful for all she does.

I didn't post much tonight because I have been studying SB 39 for about four hours. I have a lot to tell everyone and we definitely need to stop this bill, but I am too tired to post anymore tonight. 💞😴
