SUGGESTED TALKING POINTS FOR MARCH 7 TO MARCH 18

* I am grateful that HB 529 did not pass. This bill allowed the health department in certain circumstances to have the shopping records of citizens. This bill invades privacy and gives the government access that I don't agree with. Without privacy we do not have freedom.

*HB 252 was an important bill for the Impact Councils. It allows the federalism tracker reports to be distributed to the interim committees. We believe that the consolidation of power in Washington DC is the greatest threat to individual liberty. I sincerely ask you to do all you can to guard the Constitutional line. This is an important tool to help you do that.

* Express your feelings of gratitude that after June 1st, 2024 there will be no more licensed abortion clinics in Utah.

* Share your thoughts about how nefarious critical race theory is. To teach the youth that whites are inherently oppressors and minorities are born to be oppressed is racist.
We will not stand for it in Utah. Now that HB 427 is passed and teaching CRT is illegal in grades K-12, we need to work on higher education. There shouldn't be a penny of tax dollars going to institutions that support this horrendous ideology.

* Voice your appreciation that HB 21 passed which requires public comment at all the school board meetings. This needs to be expanded next session to all public meetings that are funded by tax payer dollars. This supports freedom of speech and is another check and balance placed on government.

It has been another busy day. I am happy because I am working with four new Impact chairs getting them up and going. We are filming the short video tomorrow that will explain the Impact Councils. I pray it goes well!

We did our speaking parts individually. That part went really well. Everyone there is used to speaking and were good on camera. I play the piano in the video. I did OK, but I did make some mistakes because it is stressful playing when the camera is right on your hands. I hope it all comes together! I can't wait to show it to the Impact Councils!💗

It has been another busy day. We had a meeting about Constitution Month this afternoon. I am excited to tell the Impact Councils all that we are doing. It is going to be amazing!

We had several people at the meeting. So many capable people coming together to educate and defend our Constitutional form of government.

SUGGESTED TALKING POINTS FOR MARCH 21 TO APRIL 2ND.

*The house chamber of Washington state just passed HB 1589 that prohibits gas lines being run to new construction. If this passes the senate it will be the first state to make natural gas illegal. This is a deeply concerning development. The science that these decisions are based on are speculative at best. Please stand resolutely against these kind of policies in Utah.

* Silicon Valley Bank is the second biggest Bank failure in U.S. history. Woke agendas contributed to this failure as political ideologies were put above sound business practices. This is very sobering and a reminder why we need to insulate Utah and build up walls of Constitutional protection.

* Please look at this article about Tennessee on its way to reject federal funding for education. Now that the session is over please consider working on reducing federal funding with Utah Citizens for the Constitution. The federal funding hurts this state and it cannot continue with the insolvent federal government.

*We want our children protected! We support the original version of HB 550 which prohibited any education regarding sexualality including sexual orientation and gender identity in grades k-3. This bill did not pass. We would like to see this bill proposed and passed next session.

*Privacy is essential for freedom. There are 13 states that have privacy in their Constitutions. Utah does not. HJR 22 was run to allow the citizens to vote if privacy should be added to our Constitution. It passed the house committee, but failed on the floor of the house. Let your reps know that we want privacy!

It has been a productive day. I finally have all five boys in bed. I have worked both on Constitution Month and the Impact Councils. I have four people I am reaching out to about being Impact Chairs. I am working on getting the Impact Board in place. Each board member will support ten councils. I would eventually like to reduce that number to five. I need to find people that are good with details and very dependable to serve on the board. Please let me know if any of you have suggestions.

I had a good conversation with Sam Hill on Tuesday. He is the senior researcher for the Federalism Tracker. One issue we talked about that is of great concern is the Waters of the United States new rule issued in January by the EPA. The newly issued rule is a sweeping expansion of federal jurisdiction that will allow the federal agencies to regulate virtually any wetland or stream including on private property. Another sweeping unconstitutional power grab. There are several states, including Utah, in a lawsuit against the EPA. When I make the next set of talking points I will have this as one.

I have decided to run for the state central committee on the platform of federalism. There needs to be much more of a priority in Utah to restore balance between the state and federal government.

I came up with the slogan "Jump on board with Jen Brown." It seemed to go over well. I spent a lot of time on Friday trying to find a battery operated train. Finally we ordered one online that said it would arrive between 4 and 8 am. When I got up in the morning, my husband looked at his phone and said it was on the porch. I breathed a sigh of relief.😁

It is midnight on Monday. It has been a pretty good day. We woke up to so much snow. At first they said late start for school and then they said remote learning only. I had some excited boys. Even with the kids home I was able to get quite a bit done. I worked several hours in the afternoon on Utah Citizens. I worked on the Impact Councils and spoke with a new chair in district 3 in Northern Utah. I have a phone appointment on Wednesday with a lady I am hoping to bring on as chair of district 12. We are working on the edits of the three minute video. Praying that this video will bring in many new citizens. I spoke with the chairs from District 18 about the importance of looking at voting records and the bills that reps sponsor. Talk is cheap! It gives a real insight into their priorities and set of beliefs. We are going to talk about that at our next Zoom call. I spoke with Ben Porter for an hour who has been made vice-chair for our Constitution Month committee. I'm excited to tell the Impact Councils all the plans. Good night!😴
