TALKING POINTS FOR FEB 7 THROUGH FEB 18
*Share your thoughts on plurality voting versus one vote one person. Plurality voting such as RCV makes audits infeasible. Express your views on audits and how they safeguard elections. You can mention HB 155 specifically which is Rep Lyman's bill that would require an independent auditor.
*Communicate to your reps your views regarding the massive amount of land and corresponding resources the federal government has jurisdiction over within the borders of Utah. Send them the link to this article or share a few points from it.

*Thank your house member for supporting the Founders and Constitution Recognition Bill. As of the day these points were written all of the house members except for Rep Hollins and Rep Garner voted in support, with Rep Romero absent. The senate has not yet voted. Let them know the importance you place on civics education.
*In our February Zoom call we talked about individual liberty and how it is the hope of all mankind; this includes being able to speak and act according to your set of beliefs. Explain why the Constitutional line that divides the state and federal jurisdictions is directly linked to our individual liberty and that our state leaders must jealously patrol that line.
*Let your house member know your feelings on the new flag. As of the day these points were written the senate had already voted on the new flag. "We have combined much that is beautiful, historical, and inspirational into our state flag. The desire of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers is to place the flag with its history before all the people, for with knowledge comes reverence and appreciation."

Lara Christensen Impact Chair for district 61 Rep Judkins is our spotlight.
My name is Lara Christensen. Eventhough I live in Orem now, I have lived many other places including Boston, Arizona and Idaho. In all those areas I have worked on Political campaigns, hosted studies of the constitution and produced a conservative expo with Speakers in Boston.
I have a lovely family of five daughters and fourteen grandchildren who live in three states...Utah, Texas and Florida which I am so happy about as I love visiting Texas and Florida. Thank heavens they are all good conservatives and raised their Mom right !!!
God, Family and Country are my priorities and any things I like to enjoy are under those three. 🌟My favorite hobby is something I am addicted to... called conservative talk radio.

I sent a text recently to my local representative asking for her vote to rid Utah of Rank Choice Voting and support one person one choice voting on election day...plus voter ID....Election Integrity. My freedom and my vote are very important to me. I keep tabs on my representatives inside of Utah and those who represent us in Washington DC. I call their office about my thoughts on legislative issues a long with email and direct contact when I know of their meetings/town Halls. I strive to remind them of our God given rights under the Bill of Rights in the Constitution and that we derive those rights from God and not from government.

VERY IMPORTANT BILL!
I just read an email from Rep Ivory. He has an extremely important energy bill HB425 in committee Wednesday morning at 8:00 am 110 senate building. The EPA intends to shut down all coal powered facilities in Utah by 2026. His bill pushes back and helps create more energy independence in Utah. This bill has huge federalism implications as we all know the federal government has no authority, let alone the EPA to dictate such edicts. This must be stopped! Please attend if possible to speak favorably about the bill during public comment.

I helped my dad get his house and senate member as contacts in his phone. Then we looked at Telegram and read the suggested talking points. He decided to text his reps about plurality voting and audits in regard to election integrity. This is what he sent:
Representative Ballard,
This is Steve Anderson. I am your constituent. I believe election Integrity is very important this session. I oppose any kind of plurality voting, because I believe it's too difficult to audit. I appreciate all your work this session and things that you have done in the past.

I have made me a schedule where I try to communicate with my reps every Wednesday. Everyone needs to make a schedule that works for them. Every text and email make a difference! Please contact your reps weekly. I will post new talking the beginning of next week.

I hope everyone is having a good Presidents Day. George Washington's actual birthday was on Feb 22. George Washington was indispensable in the creation of America. He was forordained to his work. One of my favorite books is the Bulletproof George Washington. The book begins by the Indian chief that led the Indians on the day Washington's life was miraculously saved, seeking out Washington fifteen years later to pay homage to him. The Indian chief stated, "I am come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of heaven, and who can never die in battle."
The battle took place July 9th, 1755. The French and Indian soldiers were hidden in the woods that fateful day and took the British soldiers completely by surprise. Following the battle, the Indians testified that they had specifically singled Washington out and repeatedly shot at him, but without effect. Two horses had been shot our from under him and four times his coat was torn by musket balls, scores of victims fell around him. It is a miraculous story. I encourage everyone to read it on this special day that we honor George Washington.
