Kasimdzhanov emerged as a winner of the 2004 FIDE World Chess Championship in Tripoli, beating Adams on a tiebreak in the final and earning the World Champion title. He's also famous as a second to Anand, Karjakin, Caruana.

84-year-old Jacques Mieses during the 1948/49 Hastings congress. He also played in the great 1895 Hastings tournament where he didn't do well but he drew against top-finishers such as Chigorin, Lasker, Tarrasch, and Steinitz.
