#FridayStudy returns! This one is by Richard Reti, one of the best players of the early 20th century & a prominent composer of endgame studies.

White is two pawns down & yet wins! Can you find how? Don't stop halfway - this study offers resourceful play from both sides.

Today's #FridayStudy was created by Ossip Bernstein, one of the inaugural recipients of the International Grandmaster title from FIDE in 1950. This weekend marks the anniversary of his birthday on 20 September 1882.

Black would prefer to have no pawns at all and call it a draw, but, even though they are so close to promotion, the infantry only hampers their monarch. White's cavalry is ready to regroup and deliver the ultimate blow. Your move!

The first #FridayStudy of 2021 is an old one by Otto Blathy. Can this white bishop get around the black rook and deliver mate? #YourMove!

Today's #FridayStudy is not exactly a study, as this gem comes from a real game, but it is even more impressive.

The game was played between Owen Hindle (England) and Guenther Moehring (DDR) during the 1964 Tel Aviv Olympiad. Black to move and win. #YourMove

Today's #FridayStudy was composed by Vitaly Chekhover (1908-1965), a Soviet chess player, chess composer, and a pianist.

It seems that White is in trouble as one of the black pawns will definitely become a queen. However, there is a saving resource! #YourMove
Black threatens to capture on c5 and the white king is too far away… Is White in trouble? Just the opposite, White is about to win this game!

White obviously can't stop the b-pawn from queening and yet can make a draw. Do you have an idea how?
