Ukraine Receives First Batch of Lynx Infantry Fighting Vehicles

Ukraine has taken delivery of its first batch of Lynx infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) from German manufacturer Rheinmetall.

Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger confirmed that the vehicles are currently undergoing testing by Ukraine’s armed forces. “This will allow for a serial order to be placed as soon as possible,” Papperger said.

Major Chinese oil ports have begun enforcing sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet, reports Reuters.

Shandong Port Group, a leading operator managing ports in Shandong Province, has introduced restrictions on vessels associated with the US sanctions list. This province is a key industrial hub and a major gateway for sanctioned oil from Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.

The group has banned “shadow” tankers from docking, unloading cargo, or accessing port services, marking a significant shift in China’s approach to handling sanctioned oil shipments.

The upcoming Ramstein meeting will outline a defense support plan for Ukraine through 2027, according to the Pentagon.
