How to use Nostr without a phone number or email.
1. Install any Nostr app, such as Amethyst (Android), Damus (iPhone) or Primal (Web Browser).
2. Create an Account.
That's it. Enjoy. Nostr doesn't require email or phone number.
Switch to Nostr.
Additional steps (not required)
3. If you want to get Bitcoin tips (zaps) going, install the Minibits wallet using the https://zap.store
4. In Minibits, copy the Minibits wallet address (using copy icon in upper right of profile), and paste it into your Nostr profile under LN Address, using any Nostr client, such as Amethyst, Damus, or Primal.
Just like that you're zapping and receiving tips!
- Nostr is an open source protocol. Nobody owns or controls it.
- You own your Nostr account, and cannot be banned from Nostr.
- You own your content, as long as you also broadcast posts to a backup relay that you yourself run, such as Citrine, which runs locally on your Android phone. You can install Citrine using the https://zap.store
