Alpha Scope #1 | Why I Chose TON to Start This Alpha Cycle

This is the first article I’m publishing on Alpha Scope, and also the starting point of my journey to find Alpha on TON.
Before getting into TON, I had explored many chains and participated in various narratives.
But now I’m increasingly convinced:

🔥 TON may be one of the few ecosystems in this cycle where ordinary users can still capture real opportunities.

In 2018, Telegram raised around $1.7 billion through two private funding rounds, setting a record in the industry.

The reason was simple:

If Gram could tap into this user base, it wouldn’t just target the crypto niche—it would reach a global market.

Even if only a fraction of users adopted wallets, payments, or games:

3️⃣ 2019–2020 | Halted by the SEC

In October 2019, the SEC sued Telegram to block the issuance of Gram:

• Oct 2019: Emergency action
• Mar 2020: Court ruling against Telegram
• Jun 2020: Settlement, refunds, and fines

A wave of adoption that could have arrived early was abruptly stopped.

But TON didn’t disappear.

💡 It simply paused.

4️⃣ 2021 | The Community Takes Over

After Telegram stepped away, the community took over TON and continued development.

🧠 Preservation of the technology and vision

In simple terms:

TON didn’t die—it was waiting for the right moment.

5️⃣ 2022–2024 | The Rise of Mini Apps

The real turning point came with:

Telegram evolved from a messaging tool into a platform:

• Games
• Tasks
• Payments
• Social distribution
• App discovery

Users don’t need to download anything or understand wallets:

👉 Just open and use

This solves Web3’s biggest challenge:

🔑 User onboarding

Many chains talk about mass adoption, but TON puts the entry point directly in users’ hands.

6️⃣ 2026 | Telegram Returns

By 2026, the situation shifted again.

Pavel Durov stated:

📢 Telegram will become the main driver of TON
🧩 And the largest validator

This means:

👉 Telegram is no longer just supporting—it’s taking the lead again

TON’s focus is also shifting toward:

• Technical upgrades
• Infrastructure
• Deep integration

To me, this is a clear signal:

🚀 The Telegram + TON cycle is restarting

7️⃣ The Real Entry Point: Mini Apps

If:

TON = the underlying network
Telegram = the traffic gateway

Then:

🎯 Mini Apps = the user entry point

Users won’t start by studying technology—they start by experiencing:

That’s exactly why I chose to begin here.

Questor is still in a very early stage.

The platform’s core asset, AP, has not yet released its tokenomics, and Questor currently has no platform revenue. This is very typical of early-stage Web3 projects during their cold start phase.
