Between the two popular versions, DDF has deeper, cleaner movement engravings. 3K has solid overall finishing and offers better value.
Key checks for the Cal.324 movement:
The small driving gear should move in sync when winding and while the balance wheel oscillates.
The upper jewel bearing with a sleeve has a distinct magenta colour.
The seconds hand keeps running when the crown is pulled out for time setting.
Beware of modified 9015 movements. Even fitted with red jewels, they usually miss the proper small driving gear. Many will stop the seconds hand when the crown is pulled, a trait inconsistent with genuine Cal.324. Some builds feature a large gear arrangement but are still 9015 conversions.
